Inspired by and a celebration of Nova Scotia, the small coastal province in Eastern Canada that he calls home, '44° North, 63° West' sees Dezza aka Derek Silvester at his musical best. Featuring singles 'Settle', 'Getaway' and 'Carry Me', this sophomore effort is a glorious collection of progressive house productions that puts Dezza at the forefront of the genre, cementing his name as one of its most important creators.

He builds here on the success of his debut artist album 'Cosmos', released in 2019 which featured standout tracks 'Cold Outside', 'Honey' and 'Expanse', and saw him tour the world from Australia to the Netherlands to the U.S. In sharp contrast, 2020, like it was for so many, was spent largely in isolation by Dezza, who turned to the beauty and nature of his surroundings in the Nova Scotia wilderness for inspiration and comfort. The result was nineteen tracks that look outward, with Dezza finding joy in his unique environment; this is reflected in the album's tracks that are tied together by a common theme of optimism and bliss through upbeat chord progressions, driving percussion and airy, floating synths. 

He recruits a host of impressive collaborators to breathe further life into his productions, including vocalists from around the world like Lauren L'aimant, EMME, Dan Soleil, HEBE, Lewyn, Møøne and Mike Schmid, who bring their own perspectives and stories to '44° North, 63° West' with their first-rate performances.

The duo may be familiar to many of our fans through their output on Enhanced and Armada Music. They first made contact in 2018 after regularly supporting each other’s releases. Russian producer Sound Quelle continues his prolific run in 2021 having already released two original projects as well as delivering standout remixes for Tritonal and Dezza. The contribution of veteran artist David Broaders to our label cannot be overstated. His emotive progressive anthems have graced many of our most ambitious releases over the past decade, most notably various editions of our "Silk Music Showcase" and "Only Silk" compilation series. Yet, the release of a new EP of original works from the Irish phenom is a relatively rare offering from our stable. It is thereby our great privilege to present "Hold On," a two-track EP that affirms David Broaders' perennial growth as a songwriter. Both cuts on this extraordinary release were previewed (in mixed form only) by Vintage & Morelli and Max Flyant on their recent "Only Silk 05" compilation.

It’s our pleasure to welcome back two of the wisest heads in the game. German production duo Kyau & Albert return with a new double A-side, ‘Beehive / Paper Towns’.

Owners of famed trance label Euphonic Recordings, which they launched in 1997, Kyau & Albert first met Above & Beyond at ADE in 2002. While Euphonic keeps them both very busy, they find the time to stop by Anjunabeats every once in a while.
	
This release comes in the wake of their 20 Years Of Anjunabeats mix: a compilation of some of Ralph and Steven’s favourite tracks from our label’s history.

‘Beehive’ was Kyau & Albert’s contribution to Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation, released in the summer of 2020. The inspiration for the track name came from Ralph’s love of beekeeping, a hobby of his since 2014. He keeps a hive in Steven’s garden, who enjoys the honey more than the stings!
