A team up here, between Dan Dobson (Flashover/M.I.K.E. Push Studio) and Lee Coulson (Infrasonic). This is one of those tracks which draws you in with a hypnotic groove and just when you think you’re bedded in the journey, it surprises with a goose bump inducing key change. Bundle that with lasers, smoke and a phat sound system and you have the epitome of progressive, melodic trance.

Since launching in early 2016, the Explorations series returns for its fourth outing. Having previously welcomed artists such as Theo Kottis, Tontario, Modd and Luttrell to the label, ‘Anjunadeep Explorations 04’ introduces more new faces to the family.

Previously one-half of production duo Journeyman, Dom Furlonge makes his debut outing under his new Antic alias with EP opener ‘And I Pray’. Dom showcases his own vocals and distinctive production flair on this quirky club cut.

Our second track brings together the Bath-based duo Kotu and Munich’s Sam Goku on ‘Ascension’, blending a subtle rolling bassline with soaring strings and sparse piano to wonderful effect. A much sought after ID from recent Anjunadeep Editions from James Grant and Dom Donnelly.

Next up is emerging German talent Ben Böhmer with ‘Flug & Fall’. Ben fuses organic elements, vocal chanting and warm melodic grooves in this uplifting number.

Closing the EP, Melbourne’s GMJ and Matter debut with throwback progressive gem ‘Earthless’.

Kotu & Sam Goku - Ascension

Stan Kolev joins the 25 year celebrations roster with a superb rendition of Antidote's 2006 slice What Time Is Love. Antidote aka Laurent Veronnez and Marnik Braeckevelt started Antidote back in 2003 as a vehicle to churn out quality progressive trance with a techy edge. They found their home on our Progrez imprint which was responsible for a raft of top notch cuts from the turn of the millennium. Tracks like Paraglider, Velocity and Sciabada were go to tracks for many jocks building a set into a deep progressive journey. 

Stan Kolev is a solid choice for remix duties and he has been a regular featured around the Bonzai offices and top download portals for quite some time. Based in Miami Beach, Florida, Stan certainly injects a warming east coast flavour to the track, giving it a much deeper progressive flow. Right from the get go we're drawn into that warmth thanks to a bubbling bassline and super tight drum arrangement. That classic vocal floats through the track raising the hairs on the back of your neck in the process. At the heart of the groove lies a droning sub bass that is complimented with brighter melodies that create a glistening sheen on the sound. The break is a purely blissful affair before we head straight back into full on mode for the duration. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

Lisbon’s Bruno Cardoso a.k.a Xinobi has made a name for himself on the European scene with his disco infused sound.
