Helsinki based producer Jesse Oliver returns with a hot package that features two brand new tracks and comes on the same label that released his equally essential ‘Oceans’ single back in 2013, Discotexas. 

Oliver has been producing for a couple of years now and is really making a name for himself  having topped the Beatport charts and sound tracked knowing dancefloors with his lively house music. The Discotexas label, meanwhile, has build a sterling reputation for quality modern disco and alternative dancefloor grooves from the likes of Xinobi, Mirror People and Justin Faust. 

The first track, ‘Piece By Piece’, takes its time to unfold into a simple but effective house track run through with plenty of synth drama and chord stabbed intensity. It features a large breakdown and is the sort of thing to drop at the peak moment of the night. 

Next up, ‘Could Be Mine’ is a deeply rooted bit of house music with a plucky guitar riff imbuing it with a sense of funk, and a subtly worked vocal that is buried deep within circling synths and brightly coloured chords. It’s accessible house music that makes you want to dance and will no doubt unite dancefloors everywhere.

An instrumental is also included in this tidy package from the ever impressive Jesse Oliver and Discotexas.

I have again invited a group of very talented friends to rework some tracks from my last album, Elsewhere. "Don't You Feel" gets 3 distinct versions: From Munich, the duo COEO present a strong floor filler incarnated on a proper house song with heavy bass and a groove that can get the heavier feet dancing. Mexican labelmate Bufi gives the original a superb new swing fuelled with an addictive bassline and catchy pianos; The 3rd is a little more leftfield: DWARF's remix is intriguing, contemplative and beautiful, confirming the ever growing skills by this Portuguese producer. Finally, Mexican Future Feelings points "Anxiety" to the stars with a brilliant Spacey Disco interpretation. Happy and vibrant.

Whether it’s the intergalactic disco of Prins Thomas and Lindstrøm or the otherworldly electronica of Röyksopp, it’s clear the long nights and wide-open starry skies have been a huge inspiration for many. Whilst the pair grew up almost 1500 km apart, Magnus north of the Arctic Circle and Johannes in the south of the country, they shared a passion for both music and outer space. Now both based in Bergen, the cultural capital of Norway, the duo have married those twin obsessions to craft a number of critically acclaimed singles for Belgium’s Eskimo Recordings. For ‘Anyone Out There?’ the duo have teamed up with 'Cal', the alias of singer and songwriter Frida Amundsen who at just 24 already has two studio albums, several hit singles and years of song writing experience under her belt and whose stunning vocals lift the track into high-orbit.

“It’s easy to end up feeling lost in this world, even though it should feel like home,” explain Atella. “Seeing a shining future from afar doesn’t mean that this is what we are dreaming of. As we are closing in, things might get clearer. If we then suddenly realize we chose a wrong path, should we turn back and go to start, or should we keep on going, in a new direction? «Anyone Out There?» Picks up signals from the past and shoots them into the future. While wondering what can be out there, the most peculiar things are happening just outside our own planet. What might look like a colourful sensation in the sky might just, if you look close enough, be a rocky traveller passing us by.”

Whereas ‘Superstar’, ‘Without Lies’ and ‘My Enemy’ – the other singles from Aeroplane’s highly acclaimed debut album “We Can’t Fly” – all came accompanied by an exquisite remix package, both “We Can’t Fly” and “Caramellas” never received any official remix treatment. Here’s an end to that, and one with a bang. Two monster remixes from no other than Cassius and Joakim - from France with love. Is ‘anthemic’ a word? It is from now on.
But that's not all, of course we also included the other remixes of Aeroplane's fantastic first album.

Colour Coding are a Sydney-based indie pop duo made up of cousins Chris Holland and Tim Commandeur. Both members of Colour Coding began their musical adventures playing in and writing for Gold Coast-based ARIA Award-winning band Operator Please. In 2011, they began writing for their own project, Colour Coding, consequently releasing their self-produced debut EP 'Proof' in 2012. After the warm reception of songs such as 'Perfect', 'Kick' and 'Hold Tight', the duo played a number of Sydney shows, supporting bands such as Snakadaktal and Northeast Party House. In 2013, the band were were flown to Manila, Philippines to play Wanderland Festival alongside Temper Trap, Neon Trees and Nada Surf. After the success of this trip, Colour Coding remained in the Magic FM Top 30 chart for several weeks and reached the #1 position on Astroplus' International Chart and #2 position overall for album sales in The Philippines.

Working with producer Jean-Paul Fung (Last Dinosaurs, Bluejuice, Glass Towers), the boys recorded a double A-side single for their sophomore release, comprising of singles 'Yours, Not Mine' and 'Hanging On'. Set for release in September 2013, the duo showcase a more developed and full-bodied sound. As their fan base grows, Tim and Chris are looking forward to a busy 2014 with more shows in Sydney and across Australia.
