A weekly show presented by a small, rag-tag group of friends with a common love of musics with folk and country sensibilities. We take turns playing records, airing exclusive sessions and live recordings while attempting to join the whole with liberal helpings of hokum and questionable insight as we share our latest obsessions with one another.

Since modest beginnings in 2005, we've been crafting Simple Folk Radio as a way to champion live music, to promote artists, 'outsider' or otherwise, who are in no danger of bothering the pop charts anytime soon, who you may never have stumbled across if a loved one hadn't ranted about their merits in the late snug of an alehouse, and then to float their art aloft upon the airwaves.

We'd like to invite you to listen because we've admired you from afar as someone who clearly appreciates that, in these end times of psychic armageddon and pop tart meltdown, there's primal joys and a perverse warmth to be had from gathering with like minds to enjoy stringed instruments and naked songs of lust, wonder, despair and Herculean drinking.

Larmer Tree Festival are looking for breakthrough music acts to compete for the chance to perform at this summer’s Festival, 19th - 22nd July 2018

Up for grabs is the amazing opportunity to play on the same line-up as artists including First Aid Kit, Public Service Broadcasting and Jake Bugg! Winners will also get full Weekend Festival tickets and a day in the Naim Audio Recording Studio! It's not all about the winning though, acts who make it through to the live finals will have the chance to perform in front of an esteemed panel of judges including festival programmers and industry experts.

Clubhouse Records is a UK independent specialising in Americana, Alt-Country, Folk and Roots music. 

The label was founded in 2010 by a group of musicians as an artist friendly haven for all things under the broad banner of ‘Americana’. Incorporating a small studio (‘The Clubhouse’) in the Buckinghamshire countryside the label acts as a crucible for releases, live events and multi media activity.

The label’s first offering was a compilation by the name of ‘’Divided By A Common Language - A Collection of UK Americana" which was released in March to critical acclaim. The album features 15 of the best UK based Americana acts on the circuit today including; Alan Tyler, Redlands Palomino Company, Two Finders of Firewater, The Cedars, The Hi and Lo, Southern Tennant Folk Union and The Dreaming Spires.

2010 also saw Clubhouse host the first of their Rollin' Revues, co-promote Bethnal Green Country Fayre and share a stage a Truck Festival with Bob Harris.

Colour House are a South London based band formed in 2013 playing Melodic Americana influenced folk pop.


Simple sounds of lonely hearts are playing in my band, hope you like what you hear. New songs just recorded and uploaded called "Sunshine or Rain", "Japanese Blue" and  "If (...In The End)".
Maybe has for the past few years recorded songs at home and released them here on different sites on Internet. Five of them you will find on the imaginary albums SO SPOKE THE OLD MAND and ACOUSTIC SHORT STORIES. Maybe´s history prior to this: Released the last album called SONGS FROM A LIVING ROOM, in 2006. This was the third album since the debut called MAYBE. The album was recorded in a living room in Oslo, Norway and contains 12 songs, all composed by maybe me. Some of the songs you can hear right here on myspace. The rest of the songs you can download at www.maybemusic.net. And if you feel like it, listen to the two previous maybe albums on the same site; The debut double album MAYBE and the second album called ENVELOPE OF TIME.
