To celebrate her 20 years of music production, Nadine de Macedo, a talented producer based in Germany (https://www.nadinedemacedo.com/), had the idea to invite around thirty musicians and producers to remix a selection of her best songs. I had the immense privilege of being part of this project, and Nadine entrusted me with "Frozen," a song written in 2006 and performed by the amazing Vera M. Van Bergh. Originally a trance song, "Frozen" immediately captivated me with Vera's beautiful voice. I chose to highlight this voice through a Modern Disco interpretation. I hope you enjoy this remix, and I thank you for your support through your likes and reposts.

I wrote this song back in 2020 awhile after my long time friend unexpectedly passed away. She was an extremely talented artist and dancer and always encouraged me with my music. We chased our dreams together. I've had this song on my heart, and did this live take tonight. First take. Did the best I could. I hope you enjoy the song, and whoever out there that has lost a close friend, I'm so sorry. You'll see them again one day!  I dedicate this song to my dear friend Danielle..."Dani" And that's the actual letter and coffee cup in the picture that's referenced in the song. Letter was from 2008. This song began as one of Joe's catchy, lyrically centered songs, which he wrote on his acoustic guitar, and filled in with VST instruments. He came up with the lyrics by sharing ideas with fellow SoundCloud musician Michele Ansani, who began the thought process of a song about becoming a musician.
   Knowing that Josh is a fan of his work, Joe offered this song to him in hopes that he'd share it with the rest of the band. Of course, Josh jumped at the opportunity to work on his song, and immediately shared it with the rest of the group. 
  Ken went to work first, adding his driving, excting drums. Josh was having a hard time coming up with a good bass line for it, until Ken suggested that he use the power of the 1/8 note to propel it. Tez was up next with his clever fills you hear throughout the first half of the song. Stephen came along right after and matched Tez's energy for the guitar fills in the second half of the song. 
  It was still missing a solo in the designated spot, though, so Mark stepped up with his innovative piano solo you hear in the middle. If it sounds a little mechanical, that's because he's using an arpeggiator to achieve the effect. We thought it sounded good in a song about AI, though. 
  Once all the parts were dialed in, and Joe had gotten all his vocals tuned up, we asked one of our resident pros, Stephen, to mix it for us. He did that and mastered it, too, expertly, as always.
  This is the first song we've ever done with Joe, and don't expect it to be the last. We all really enjoyed putting together, in no small part because Joe is such a competent, receptive, and gracious collaborator. We all hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Stuck In The Static

Hey! I'm colter. Thanks for stopping by! All recordings done on my old Baldwin piano that my amazingly talented grandmother gave me.  I'd like to think it holds some magic. All original songs, recorded live. I took a few years of classical lessons when I was very young, great memories, especially the snacks! 

Throughout the years I'd always tinker on my Mom's old Ludwig piano through passing, playing songs I had learned, like Fur Elise and The Spinning Song, but it wasn't till I was in college when it became an addiction. I was inspired after coming across the song "I Am For You" by Waking Ashland. Lead singer/piano player Jonathan Jones. There was an old upright in the student center that I'd sneak off to late at night, and ever since then the playing has never stopped. I was hooked. What a therapy it has been over the years. 

God is good! I'm so thankful. I hope to connect with many and make new friends:)
