Amor fati. It didn’t happen to us, it happened for us. This world owes us nothing; it literally just wants to eat us. If ever our spirit is broken, sometimes necessarily so, it is our responsibility to repair it. Our choice is to heal and continue forward, or remain wounded and perish. Therefore, we must become commanders of our own destinies. We must continually revisit failure on our path to success, and acknowledge that the journey for self improvement never ends.

“Meanwhile, Onward!” is the 6th solo album from Colter. Recorded at home from July 2022 - April 2023, the album is 100% DIY— all songs were written, programmed, edited, engineered, mixed, and mastered by the artist. The album’s 7 songs (clocking in at over 40 minutes total) blend elements of alternative, metal, psychedelia, electro, hardcore, thrash, shoegaze, space rock, goth rock, sludge, and doom into a uniquely heavy but accessible concept album about awareness, transcendence, and perseverance.
