lying down avoiding the human race

listen to the breaking morning birds
cheep chatter call and cry
putting off the moment before we rise

by hitting snooze for the final time
today everything will work out fine
you tell me as i pull you in tight
these happy moments feel just right

because if i died this very day
under the suns warming rays
i'd be grateful in the knowledge
that i have achieved
for these happy times i had received
