Cleveland Ex-Pat. Saw early Devo live in Akron 20 minutes from home at age 15 in 1976; that same summer I got adopted by both Pere Ubu and Human Switchboard so the sounds I spew are of the 3 congealed...ish. I like collaborating with vocalists who let me color their prose; accordingly, I’ve not had a chance to collab with other musicians/experimenters of late, but am def on board to the challenge; I do what I can. Thunderclap Arises, again . . . .

O Jóbson Phelps foi formado em 2011 pelos músicos Giancarlo Frabetti e Paulo Abraão, fruto da materialização de uma ideia quase tão antiga quanto a amizade entre os dois. A identidade musical do projeto foi construída de forma natural, baseada em uma fina telepatia química, no transe e na improvisação.

O duo define esse estilo como “Noise Ateu”, proposta que dialoga com as mais  diferentes vertentes musicais, tais como o Krautrock, o Post-punk, o Industrial, o Heavy Metal, o Noise, o Lo-Fi, o Space Rock, o EBM,  Hip-Hop, No Wave, Noise Rock entre outras.

Utilizam diferentes sintetizadores, pedais de efeito, bateria eletrônica, loops, gravadores, rádios, samplers, feedbacks de guitarra e baixo elétrico sintetizado para a construção de texturas sonoras imagéticas, guiada por ritmos tribais e riffs soturnos em longas jams em que a dupla dialoga de forma automática, registradas em tempo real. Em seus registros não utilizam overdubs ou técnicas de edição que deturpe a crueza de sua proposta.

Giancarlo Frabetti , aka http://soundcloud.com/Shepah! vem se dedicando à produção de gravações caseiras há pelo menos quinze. Participou de uma série de projetos musicais e  como os Sparks + Fragments e Paiakan.  Fez parte da LSDiscos, apresentando-se como Xepah no Mídia Tática Brasil (2003) 

Paulo Abraão, aka http://soundcloud.com/petersellers-666 , foi um dos fundadores do coletivo LSDiscos, no final do século passado. Fundou bandas como Os Jerssons e Satã-Bárbara com a qual participou dos festivais Mídia Tática Brasil (2003), Hipersônica (2004) e Isto é Música?/! (2004).
