 killer gene
who are the better humans? 
those with or without the killer instinct gene 
never underestimate those you think you know 
by their actions you may have seen 
either first hand or passed down by the second 
who would of ever thought or reckoned 
that they would of been capable of such barbaric acts 
from slapping kids to kicking the neighbours cat 
or even pulling a trigger on a battle rifle at 300 metres 
with a smile on their face that says welcome and please to meets you's 
as the bayonets click down on the boss 
im at a loss 
when my hand is clamped over a sucking chest wound 
trying to hold the life back in 
the peace makers maybe blessed 
though its wise to be wary of these passive aggressives 
as i have know of chaplains to carry one up the spout 
religious men with self at peace and seemingly devout 
engaged in the greater good of spreading their faith 
via the example of self preservation 
please have no reservations 
we have it in us all 
the sequence of buttons pushed 
is what we need to control 
so to live our lives 
as better people 
only our excuses are feeble 
when in fact all choices made 
are actually cerebral 
and blind instinct should never come into play 
at any point of the day 
as all human life should be valued as dearly as your own 
broadcasting the humanitarian seeds instead of ground sown 
means there will be no doubt some loss 
victims of collateral damage is the heavy cost to pay 
sorry is not remorse and is only a word to say 
when your world is set to the back ground of black and white 
the reality is the blurring of the grey edges between the wrong and the right
though i understand sometimes the need for to fight 
and stand for all you believe 
as long as your ready for what you receive as you dish it out by the handful 
if you do nothing you get nothing 
though i know this isn't the whole truth 
sometimes you have to fight to survive by nail and by tooth 
and at the edge of hell 
i can honestly tell 
you that i have relied 
on the attitude of those who do or die 
following better humans that nether laugh nor cry 
gifted with that killer instinct gene

Opinion
What do you get out of being a victim 
Its seems an awkward question 
A strange way to fit in 
When you become a slave to the circumstance of your own making 
Then think long and hard about this route your taking 
As its one I refuse to travel 
Too old am I with too longer teeth to watch my life unravel 
Because of a misdirected venture that cant be written off as art 
As the pain in the pictures has been tattooed in my heart 
As my creeping flesh hardens over 
To what I have become desensitised 
Wake up my friends smell the Nescafe 
Its time to realise 
What do you really stand for 
Torture and death is not an art form 
Nor is the ritual humiliation of women and children 
As well as all other displays of torture porn 
So that others can watch for instant gratification 
Viral videos self indulgent displays of public masturbation 
Crushes my soul 
The thoughts and images I don’t want to see 
As I would sacrifice my own life 
To ensure that you and yours would remain free 
But the price is human decency 
I am the police self regulatory 
And my opinion is sacred 
When I fight perversion and hatred 
On behalf of those who have no voice 
Or freedom of choice 
If you stand by this sword and shield 
and refuse to yield 
To the filth published in the name of savagery and dehumanisation 
Then you truly are a friend of mine
