glued to the tube cant make sense of it, 
hours and hours of mind numbing shit 
born in a vegetable state 
I'm sedate as well as a "don't know voter" 
tell me what to eat and drink 
I'm half way there 
because i don't think 
wrap it up and tell me its my choice 
that its better for me not to raise my voice 
as the thought police already have my number 
I'm doing as I'm told 
as the thousand channels that i hold 
endlessly click by one after another 
the point to it if you ever discover 
is to make you stay at home 
now the seeds of doubt have been sown 
that there isn't a better place to be 
yet we are living in the land of the free

in our suspended inanimate vegetable state 
the progress of humanity still depends on

of life styles we don't want to understand

to i-d cards laser scan bars and implanted micro chips
