UK born Adam Geoghegan (The Scientist) is a DJ and producer whose travels have taken him from the vibrant coastlines of Australia to the bustling streets of North America and finally anchored in the eclectic nightclubs of Berlin, Germany.

The Scientist isn't just a name, it's an identity that reflects Adam's methodical approach to music. His taste encompasses everything from the deep, soul-stirring melodies of house to the darker, pulsating rhythms of fast techno.

London's Anjunadeep holds a special place in his heart, resonating with his own sonic sensibilities. The depth of artists like Jody Wisternoff, Lane 8, Dusky, Matt Lange, John 00 Fleming, Jonas Rathsman and Chris Jylkke not only inspire him but also mirror his diverse, emotive, and immersive sets.

Seawave is the name I’ve given my style of music as it combines elements of seapunk, chillwave and vaporwave. I’m also influenced by various hip hop styles, trip hop, house, synthpop/synthwave, IDM and future bass. Musical artists who influence me include Washed Out, Tycho, Boards Of Canada, Slow Magic, Snail’s House, Gold Panda, Com Truise and Vince Dolphin.

I am conceptually inspired by seapunk/vaporwave imagery, sea/space exploration, the avant-garde, minimalism, hauntology and Japanese aestheticism. My interests include linguistics, chemistry, aesthetics, animation, world-building and, of course, music. It is also noteworthy to mention that I am a brony since 2012, an otaku since 2016, a lifelong music fanatic and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ since 1999.
