The Knife, in collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock, are to release the studio version of the opera ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’, on the 1st March 2010.



Commissioned by Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma to write the music for their opera based on Charles Darwin and his book ‘On the Origin of the Species’, The Knife decided to make this a collaborative process, working with artists Mt. Sims and Planningtorock for the first time, to capture the huge width of the Darwin and evolution theme. <a href="http://theknife.net">http://theknife.net</a>

The love child of Brooklyn and the Internet, Baauer was born out of noise. A sound that began steeped in the 4/4 dance tradition, slowly took on hip hop tendencies until the two became one. Influenced heavily by southern hip-hop and UK bass sounds, Baauer has found himself smack dab in the middle of the electronic renaissance. He is the delectable fusion of future-crunk and leather shaken aggressively in a bottle for years and has only just opened the top to pour the mixture out.

Ghostly International’s Berlin-dwelling South African deep house producer Portable aka Bodycode, and the Dutch head of Intacto Records, Shinedoe – were selected by Olof Dreijer…”I just really like their music – a very nice mix of melodic and moving dance music. I’ve been spinning their music over the last few years and most often it brings a smile to people’s faces and makes people dance a little more.”

Bodycode has injected some Berlin deep-house warmth, stretching the track to 12 minutes, while Shinedoe has turned the original’s sparse instrumentation into a layered, big-room tech-house track.
