Detroit Techno Militia @ Halcyon Brooklyn 2016 (BE-AT.TV)

London-based techno stalwart, @doubleffe-official, has accomplished an impressive amount of work in his relatively brief professional involvement in the scene. Between his work as a DJ and producer, he has made a name for himself as a CEO, Founder and Artistic Director. His efforts have taken him all over the world, where he has organised events, and performed alongside artists such as Pinch, Inigo Kennedy and Detroit Techno Militia.

December 3rd, 2010, saw Doubleffe launch Coma, a club-based platform dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge Techno from both emerging and established names from the underground. In the wake of the night’s success, Coma Agency was established, in 2014, and, in 2016, Doubleffe announced the birth of Coma Records. These moves were made in order to foster the artistic family and unique sound that Doubleffe had witnessed growing over time.

The summer of 2019 has gone. Some of us cannot wait for the season of colder weather, colourful leaves and huge sweaters, while others want to have a prolonged summer – possibly forever. In either cases, the Coma Radio Show is back, with a brand new design, with its 19th episode. This time we are very pleased to welcome Detroit's  Dance Floor Renegade - DJ Psycho. A long lasting member of the Detroit Techno Militia collective, Psycho is an artist whose skill and record collection has given him a unique reputation as a precise, dance floor bend.

Coma Radio #019 by DJ Psycho

Anti-government protests have rocked Hong Kong for months and the situation shows no sign of dying down. Hong Kong's protests started in June against proposals to allow extradition to mainland China.
Critics feared this could undermine the city's judicial independence and endanger dissidents.
Until 1997, Hong Kong was a British colony - meaning it was controlled by Britain. Since returning to Chinese rule, it has more autonomy than the mainland, and its people more rights. The arrangement is known as "one country, two systems".
City leader Carrie Lam agreed to suspend the extradition bill, but demonstrations developed to include demands for full democracy and an inquiry into police actions.
The bill was withdrawn in September. But clashes between police and activists have become increasingly violent, with police firing live bullets and protesters attacking officers and throwing petrol bombs.

Our next guest is known across the world for his hard techno sound. James Johnson AKA Plural is one exceptionally talented electronic music producer, composer and DJ. His calm demeanour belies the massive amounts of energy he creates in his highly technical DJ sets, and the ethereal beauty of his live performances with many top-flight DJs swearing by his output, dropping his tracks relentlessly throughout their sets.

On October 19 2019, tens of thousands of people marched to demand a final say on the Brexit deal. Huge numbers marched through the British capital as part of the People’s Vote demonstration, while others marched to stop Brexit all together. A spokesperson from the People’s Vote group  estimated that one million people joined their march. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan was among the protesters. The UK is set to go to the polls on 12 December after MPs backed Boris Johnson's call for an election following months of Brexit deadlock. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said: "This election is a once-in-a-generation chance to transform our country and take on the vested interests holding people back."

There are fewer than 48 hours left to register to vote in next month's general election. You need to register at least 12 working days before an election - so, with the election on 12 December, the deadline is 23:59 GMT on Tuesday. If you can register to vote, then please do so at: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
