2 years in the making, this compilation represents a new wave of ambient music cultivated in India. Peninsula Volume 1 delivers a diverse range of contemporary electronic music starting in the ambient space and gently wandering into pieces of music that shed light on a new age of music producers from the subcontinent. 

Compiled by Yidam, this release has been arranged to be heard from start to finish in the time-honored style of DJing for chillout rooms and ambient spaces.

Lots of selfmade, mostly bedroom- or cellarproduced tracks here, different styles because of different moods and music tools, often selfmade instruments, allways experimenting and in search of sounds and soundmaking stuff, harmonic or non-harmonic....and all free to listen and to download ...and if you want to use one of my tracks or try a collab, just ask, do it and tell me about it... all in terms of Creative Commons...
I have to make music every free minute, allways full of it, and, about time, I have a lot of toys to do this ... these tracks are my kind of relaxing and i will do it till the end of my time...
I hope, you like, what I do....You may find a lot, but no autotune and no AI, I swear...
You cannot OWN music, you only can MAKE it.... (something, Neneh Cherry said)... and so I do...
I never learned an instrument, I am an analphabet in music theory, but that's not important: 
I AM an instrument and there's always music inside me.... and I go on...

Ambient & Dub Techno music producer ..

Aditya is an avid sound explorer and DJ born and raised in Mumbai. He was exposed to electronic music for the first time in 2006. Quickly latching onto the sonic possibilities in psychedelic trance, he started his own productions and made the transition to Djing in 2010. Accompanied by his majestic and fluid compositions, his sonic canvas paints a world of truth and sensitivity to the listener.

Coma Conscience is an Experimental Ambient project of Aditya Vernekar and has been the result of his creative outlet after facing a depersonalized state of reality. Evolving upon themes of isolation and solitude, the ambient characteristic of this project is an artistic representation of floating upon a timeless continuum. As time progressed and influences changed, this project's ''Sound'' came to be inspired by artists and bands like Murcof, Exoplanet, Monotonik Records, Sleepy Town Manufacture, Planet Boelex, KILN, Alva Noto, Mogwai, Hammock, Marsen Jules, Massive Attack, Crustation, Martin Nonstatic, Lars Leonard, Monolake... all of them falling into or closely resembling or an extention of underground electronica genres like minimal and dub techno, ambient,trip-hop, and post-rock. He believes this place is a safe sanctuary for dreamers, escapists, nostalgia, quiet contemplation, and all things good when we see images in black and white, a world of grey.

The Ginkgo Lanugo project was founded in 2019 by N. Pavelková and Š. Perk. From the beginning, their sound flows between two main styles, Ambient and Techno. Experimental music supplemented with vocals mainly in the Czech language gradually found its way to smaller publishers. They released several singles on foreign labels: Elektrax, Deep Electronics, Melotonin, Apnea... They performed at several festivals, Povaleč, Transforma, Space X... They are also engaged in soundtrack creation, they created a song for the presentation of Predators at the Comic Con festival. Soundtrack to the computer game Scrap which will be released in May 2024.

Created  during the last week of March 2020, bringing together the sound of artists in isolation creating music that's reflective of our collective struggle during the Covid-19 pandemic. Submit your music to socialisolationrecords@gmail.com
