ALEX MINE — AWAKE (ORIGINAL MIX) [SCI+TEC]

German mainstay Kölsch has had a thunderous few years , fully establishing himself as a worldwide force to be reckoned with. His piano-drenched techno has been slaying sound-systems the world over and even after two incredible albums via Kompakt, we reckon the best is still yet to come. 

His remix of 'Trouble At The Séance' is deep, dark and full of lazer-beam synths that zip in-and-out of focus. Not much can be said about this one other than it's an absolute stormer and it's going to do some serious damage this summer.

Her second effort for the label features 4 quality original tracks, each bringing a different vibe, showing the variation of her production talent. The title track 'Wisdom' is the biggest of the bunch, having a huge impact in the peak moments. 'I'll See You Tonight' is more dark & driving, with a stand out vocal cut. 'Sending Them' is a stripped down, loopy groover and 'Maelstrom' rounds off the EP nicely with a pounding beat, a crazy warped vocal and hard hitting percussive elements.

Alex Costa enters the Alleanza clan for the final release of 2012 with a super solid EP. First coming in is "Cannot Express" with a melodic synth-line, energetic rhythm and haunting vocals, together fitting in a tight package which really does leave you unable to express. In comes the second bomb on the EP, "Dibase" a clean hard-driven track providing effortless grooves to rock the floor.
 

Also joining the Alleanza family is founder of one of Amsterdam's leading club nights, FORMAT - Juan Sanchez. Juan remixes "Cannot Express" and gives the original track another slice of life, by adding his own touch of driving hypnotic sounds, making this package a full-on must have!
 

Alleanza has been on quite a roll lately, currently preparing to tour Australia with their label nights, and closing off 2012 in Tunis. Founder Jewel Kid is hard-driving his Alleanza boat to success, leaving us wondering what can possibly top this amazing fist year for the label. Stand by!
