R3hab, Nervo and Ummet Ozcan present the vocal version of their hit “Revolution”. 

One of the biggest club hits of recent months, “Revolution” boasts an all-star cast consisting of Dutch DJ and producer R3hab, Australian singing and songwriting twin sisters NERVO and Dutch/Turkish trance star Ummet Ozcan. 

“Revolution” is a big, bold anthem, as perfect for radio as it is for the dancefloor. The powerful production gets a rocket-fuelled boost from the mesmerising vocals of NERVO, the super-talented sisters who penned Grammy-award winning single “When Love Takes Over” (performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland).  

Given it’s first UK outing by Danny Howard in his first Dance Anthems show of 2014, “Revolution” is also being supported by the likes of Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Showtek, Martin Garrix, Sander van Doorn and Pete Tong.

CMR001 takes the shape of a remix package of Overtake, from the man Coppa himself, featuring Adriana Hamilton. The first mix comes from the multi-talented Callide & Intraspekt. The remixers take the spirit of the tune, to keep strong and believe in everything you do, and add their unique, rave-busting  flavour.  The  intro will  draw you  i  n,  but  the  breaks  and synths  soon  drop,  adding weight  and  depth  to  the  already-huge  production.  The  clubs  will  lap  this  one  up,  as  Callide  & Intraspekt overcome any arguments with their heavy remix. 
Next up on the boards is Livewire, who takes things in a more liquid direction, bringing forward a piano line which fits perfectly under Coppa’s MC vocals and cut-ups of Adriana’s singing. The beats are rolling on this one, taking the track forward, heading straight for the heart and the mind. A real end-of-summer bubbler, Livewire brings something new and fresh out of the track as only he can  .
Lastly, Raise Spirit takes on the track, raising the bar once again, with a string-fuelled intro which morphs into some neat overdriven guitar. The bass is to the fore on Raise’s version, 
with  the  track  completed  with  a  major  headnodding  beat.  All  three  versions  are  going  to smash, so give them all a listen and choose your favourite.

Veterans of previous Mayan Audio releases, Essex-based duo Kritix are back with MYN006, the All Of Me EP.

The EP begins with the title track, featuring Jenny Jones. Piano meets synth, meets old skool beats in the intro, before Jones’ strident and emotional vocals kick in. The drums are added to, the bass starts to boom, and you know Kritix are on to a winner with All Of Me. Feel the flow, and feel the EP get off to quite a start. 

Next up is the deeper, darker We Are Here, which enters some new territory for Kritix. Almost industrial in its influence, this is a mighty slab of funk. Feel the space age vibes as Kritix create an entire universe through their music. The drums will attack, the bass will destroy, and We Are Here will be a statement of intent from the artists and producers. This one is just big. 
Into The Deep is another turn in the road, with flowing, liquid flavours the order of the day. Melodic vibes underpin the tune, with flashes of funk sitting over the top. More variation is on offer in the beats, which fluctuate and build in turn. Closer Pogo rips the fabric of the universe with some crazy, off-kilter effects and full-on bass madness. A radical and invigorating end to the EP.
At the same time as the release of this EP will be Mayan's 1st year anniversary from when the label launched in September 2014 and will also see them putting on their first event at Club 65 in Vauxhall, London. Showcasing their own exclusive talent, special guest artists on the night and including a live PA from Jenny Jones performing the title track from the EP 'All Of Me'. Smooth has laid a steady foundation with his Drum & Bass productions of late. Between his work as one half of Telekinesis with releases on labels such as Blackout Music, Eatbrain, and Mainframe – along with his last release on Viper, ‘WTF / Revenge’ which wrapped up 2015 with monstrous noise and support from: Wilkinson, Matrix & Futurebound, Calyx & Teebee, TC, Audio, Metrik, Mob Tactics, and more. Starting of 2016, Smooth’s ‘True Grit EP’ brings plenty more dance floor destruction to continue the Slovenian’s mark in D&B. 

Leading the charge on the EP is ‘True Grit’. With occasional glimpses to the early days of rave, this track is nothing but forward thinking madness. You’ll need bags of energy to keep up with this one as ‘True Grit’ switches, changes and turns and every possible musical turn. Packed to the brim with attitude and balls this one’s not for the faint-hearted.

Next up is ‘Eraser’, which opens with a spacey atmospheric intro, only to get stripped back into a chunky underground banger. Going sparse on the riffs and heavy on the low end, ‘Eraser’ is a perfect draw for the early morning sets to get the crowd jumping. 

Switching gears, ‘Oxygen’ rolls deep with the melodies and high on that feel good liquid vibe. Subtly epic in its own right, ‘Oxygen’ gives us an early peak to the coming summer vibes. It has weight, presence, and the ability to make you tingle all over. 

Rounding off the EP is ‘Tinnitus’, a condition normally associated with the perception of noise or ringing in the eardrums. Smooth’s version is quite the opposite. After a brief intro, the full impact is laid out for all to bear witness, thundering drums and a huge bassline. A peak time dancefloor weapon has definitely been created here.

There might only be a few releases under the Kronology
moniker, but the experience of the producers
formerly known as Slogun and iOh has shone through
nonetheless. Now, the LA-based duo are regular fixtures
on the set-lists of some of the biggest DJs in the scene.
Take Friction on Radio 1, for example. He’s supported
them since they first hit Technique and recently
premiered this very release. If you heard that (and if you didn’t, you’d better have a good
excuse) you’ll already know they’ve shoved the bar up another couple of notches. Mantra opens up into a world of atmospheric pads while a strident techy kick and reverberant rim-shots mark out the beat. It’s a hypnotic vibe which draws us in further as percussive tones augment the arrangement. As distorted edges of bass start to appear, though, it’s clear the trance-like meditative state is about to be shattered.
The tune drops like a martial arts move. Kronology capture the energy from the ethereal pads and turn it back on itself in the form of bass, using its force to punch through the calmness. The flow of the intro is converted into driving power. Call and response patterns switching between basslines, backed with break-laced drums, bring irresistible movement for the dancefloor.
It’s no surprise that Kronology are building a loyal fanbase among ravers and DJs alike. They consistently deliver heavyweight dancefloor killers with twists and turns that diverge from any known formula. And here’s another one that’s bound for raves and airwaves worldwide.
