This is a lullaby from Kongo, sang by Kavira Bwenge together with her two children in Swahili. The song is from our artproject Dream Peace in which we have collected five diffrent lullabies in five different languages and then matched them with an artist or art group who got the chance to reinterpret them. "Był sobie Król" is a traditional Polish lullaby that is a fairytale within a song. The lullaby tells the story about a king, a servent and a princess. They lived happily together and loved eachother dearly but a tragic event occured in which the King got eaten by a dog, the servent by a cat and the princess was eaten by a mouse.
