Solid Steel (1st November) Having announced that Four Tet will be joining the line up for the Solid Steel 25th Anniversary night at Fire in London on 6th Dec, we now hand over the decks to him for a 2 Hour exclusive mix. 
Four Tet's history with the show extends back to his first mix in 2001 and part of the Solid Steel US Tour that year with DJ Food, DK and Bonobo. He was also the first guest at the monthly Solid Steel club night in 2004, with more mixes to follow and his music has been consistently played on the show. 

As with all our 25th Anniversary guests, we asked for something different and here's what he said about his mix;

"This mix is made from unofficial edits and mixes.  I guess these edits were mainly made to be played in clubs and I've always like the tradition of DJs extending and rearranging to make things work in their sets.  Most of the edits here are unreleased because they are just tools for DJs really.  The Black Unity one was done for the Solid Steel US tour that I did in 2001.  Thanks to Daphni, Floating Points and Happa for the edits I got from them."

SCSI-9 and 200 Records came together in 2009 when the Russian duo did a superb remix for BlackIsBeautiful's "Purpur". In the same year we met Anatol and Maxim for the first time when they played live for us in Cologne. A few months later we invited Anatol again for the Protez label night alongside with Alex Meshkov and Korablove at Cologne's famous Studio 672. 
In 2013 SCSI-9 came back to Cologne to play a live set at Gewölbe – we met them again and after having such a great night, we decided to do a release together: the result is the four-tracker "Flop Flop". 4 cool trippy, dubby and minimal tracks.

On a summer weekend in August during the crazy lifetime of the Berliner Bar 25, pianist Laura Weider challenged herself to a particular kind of concert in the circus. This 40 hour performance was witnessed as the 'Longest Concert of a Solo Artist' and subsequently made it into the Guiness Book of Wold Records. Cord and Sacha -- better known as the Kreuzberg based DJ & Production duo Robosonic -- managed to tape the whole concert including the atmospherical sounds made by the pianist and the public alike. Samples from this field recording madness were then cut and distilled into sound confetti, touched with funny, weird and euphorical moments -- such as the final countdown -- and sprinkled into a club track!
