Command Strange's Circles EP touches the full circumference of Drum & Bass with an accomplished 4 track collection that showcases the diversity of the CS sound.

Following 2016's Skyline EP which topped the Beatport and Juno charts, and is still notching up an impressive number of plays online, the bar is set high, and the Circles EP does not fail to deliver!

Now a fully-fledged member of the V family, since signing Command Strange, aka Alexey Fuifanov has not only been breaking new ground production wise, but also finding a legion of new followers. Those new to his sound are uncovering not only his brand new productions but also his impressive discography which cuts on labels like Metalheadz, Hospital, Innerground, Good Looking Records and many more.

From the hybrid sounds of 'In Circles', the tech-influenced 'Shiva', the straight up dancefloor banger 'Face 2 Face' and the liquid stylings of 'This Night' this collection covers all bases, and all with that trademark Command Strange vibe. As always he retains that natural, organic sound that gives his tracks the all important funk, and enough sonic space to breathe. This enables each of the 4 tracks to hold their own as compositions in their own right, but he ensures they are all delivered with that added punch for maximum dancefloor devastation!

Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital stalwarts Nu:Tone and Logistics. Individually, the Gresham brothers have released a total of seven long players already on Hospital, each to great critical acclaim. The sum of their combined powers is oozing with the kind of soulful drum + bass, which is the foundation of the Hospital label and will satisfy long term fans who hanker after the golden days of the genre.

Having brought us the Nu:Logic “New Technique” EP in 2010 and the recently released follow up single “Morning Light / Grizzly”, the duo now bring us their highly anticipated debut album “What I’ve Always Waited For”.

Opening with the calm, mellow soothing sounds of “Morning Light” we are taken through a variety of styles across the 14-track album. Vocal-driven cuts are peppered throughout the album and there’s some top collaborations in there, including “Everlasting Days (ft. Lifford)” with its warm, uplifting vibe, the growling spoken swagger of “We Live There (ft. DRS)” and the blissed out “Shoot Me Down (ft. Robert Manos)”.

Elsewhere, don’t miss out on the excellent “Start Again (ft. S.P.Y)” with the raw, bass heavy menacing tones, as well as the meditative title track “What I’ve Always Waited For” which is all whirring atmospherics and pattering drums. Two interludes “Escape Pod” and “Dusk” successfully segment the album into thirds. With so many musical gems to choose from, one thing is for sure - this has been worth waiting for.

The new Alone With Everybody project by Drum & Bass connoisseur FD firmly solidifies his earned seat in the upper echelons of the Drum & Bass scene. The epic nine-tracker on The North Quarter showcases a new dimension to his sound, having already gained the trust of many essential labels in the past. Let's be honest. How many seven year old junglists do you know of? Well, the boy who would become Command Strange was just such a child. Growing up in Kazakhstan, the lure of his older brother's jungle and drum 'n' bass proved irresistible, and exposure to the music of icons like Roni Size, Aphrodite, and LTJ Bukem laid the foundations for what was to follow.

By the age of sixteen Command Strange was already releasing music. With a focus on the melodic side of DnB, he quickly got the attention of the scene's elite. The likes of Bryan Gee, Jumpin Jack Frost, Goldie, Hype, Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider regularly supported his productions, and with airplay on prestigious stations like BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, his reputation as one to watch was secured.

And he hasn't slowed down since.

Releases on Fokuz, Metalheadz, Good Looking, Integral, Grid, Horizons, Hospital and Med School have proven his versatility, with the Command Strange sound evolving to encompass harder, nastier styles alongside his pristine musicality. In a scene where releasing one artist album is a major achievement, Command Strange's back cat already includes three of them, “Soul Booster” and “Episode 91” on Fokuz, and “Joy”, his team-up with Intelligent Manners, on Marky's Innerground imprint.

Now exclusively signed to the V Recordings family, and with a reputation as a deejay that's seen him hype crowds across Europe and beyond, Command Strange has racked up achievements that are distant dreams for many artists twice his age. Even so, as he continues to develop, collaborate, and innovate, there's no doubt there are many more incredible things to come for Command Strange. Watch carefully.
