Marco Segato is a sonic explorer, producer and live performer currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The concept of the “sublime” in the context of aesthetics and psychology is a fascinating
exploration of how certain experiences and stimuli can evoke intense emotions and
transcendence in individuals. The sublime is often associated with feelings of awe, wonder, and overwhelming greatness, surpassing ordinary experiences and pushing the boundaries of human comprehension.
It possesses a sense of power and might that can evoke both admiration and fear. This power
might be represented in nature’s forces, like a roaring waterfall, or in the skillful execution of art, like a captivating music composition.
It can lead to a sense of transcendence, where one feels connected to something beyond the
individual self, often involving spiritual or metaphysical dimensions.

Another RUBBER TIJD, and this time with sonic explorer, producer and live performer Marco Segato. Operating under various monikers (La Serpiente, MS and Narvalo), we had the pleasure of him opening our first event at Garage Noord under his original name. This recording is a section of what you missed out on a stormy Thursday in November.

Sneaker has been on a mission to reveal the origins of electronic music for more than twenty years now. Whether as a producer or DJ – Sneaker is doing it properly but always after careful consideration. He loves music which imparts atmosphere and attitude towards life, even in a parodying way that doesn’t take itself too serious. Early on, he fell in love with Detroit and Chicago but furthermore there are the obscure Italo, new wave and minimal synth gems that make his sets and Dunkeltier edits special and provide his productions with that edgy Sneaker flavor.

If he doesn’t ponder on the history of dance music, the graduate of Fine Arts shuttles extensively between his part-time-hometowns Berlin and Dresden, where he operates the TailOut mastering studios with long-time collaborator Jacob Korn. He remixed classic EBM and minimal synth bands such as Twilight Ritual, Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, S.M. Nurse, De Fabriek and Click Click on his contributions on Frigio, based in Madrid, Bahnsteig 23 and the Macadam Mambo Edits label from Lyon.

In regards to this particular mix: 
This is the other view, the cold hand of ragged whities, this is the answer to a question not asked, these dots were never connected in 33 years (the earliest pick dating back to the UK in 1990).
Records from Germany, Italy, Finland, Holland, Switzerland, Austria - they all contribute to this woven fabric.
A bunch of my own joints sneaked in, plus a track (indeed done in a tracker in the early 2000s) by my best buddy Jacob Korn (we run tailout.de).

Loma Doom, a true radio veteran and beacon of twisted and mesmerizing sounds.

With various radio residencies for Stranded FM (show: Daydream Nation), Radio Tempo Não Pára (Helter Skelter) and Echobox (Left of the Dial), she uses radio and archives as her main media. 

But she also applies her signature style of electronic experimentalism on open-minded danceloors where intuition and understanding meet. Her current focus as artist, researcher and educator is on various notions of listening and how listening is actually a call to action.

A pleasure to hear this mix by La Serpiente (Marco Segato). We’ve been in touch years back when I was booking the first Zaliva-D European tour.  Marco brought Zaliva-D to the, now permanently closed, Macao in Milano.  His journey in life brought him recently to Amsterdam. 

Marco Segato is a sonic explorer, producer and live performer currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He's the co-founder of Rete Neurale Milano E.S.T. - an event born in the infamous Milanese multi-cultural space Macao - and curator of the mix series Empty Signal Transmission. He has been a Red Bull Music Academy alumnus in 2016 in Montréal (Canada) and graduated in Audio Production at SAE Institute Milan in 2017. During the last years Marco released his music under four different monikers: La Serpiente, MS, Narvalos (with Alessio Costantino) & eoobe (with Elina Tapio). Across these projects his sound maintains a sense of mysticism brewing with eerie tension, influenced and incorporating sounds of broken beats, post-industrial experimentations, and ritualistic elements to conjure psychic immersion. He produces and performs live sets with a combination of analogue and digital hardware, with a sonic outcome that is always saturating the mind with extra-musical ideas.

Joshua Cordova is a DJ and musician, whose work spans acid house through punk electronics. He has toured extensively throughout Europe and North and Central America - with DJ sets that effortlessly balance early experimental electronics, psychedelic disco, and first wave of techno. Cordova has released on the Detroit-born FIT Sound, Parisian label PSR, and Warsaw’s Syntetik, LUX REC sub-label MRT, Rompe Hechizo and holds a residency with Mutant Radio.
