Macarena Marius aka SALÓ @sal0666 is a young Dj and recently producer from Lima, Perú. Co-founder and curator of the darkest nightlife projects in the city such as “Pistas Plásticas” (2018), “Sadisco” (2019) and “Troca” (2019). Currently, they reside for the Mexican experimental electronic music collective “Cuco Records” (2020). They have developed through different movements in the capital, aiming for decentralization and making a bet on self-management, always with the purpose of protesting though the creation of safe spaces for their community. Their style incorporates a musical selection based on the search of melancholic, hard, experimental sounds from avant-garde electronic music; taking over emblematic, mechanic, sensual and enraged genres such as ebm, post punk electro, synth, industrial, new beat & noise. Through these tunes they emphasize the claustrophobic and paranoid aspects of contemporary life in the third world.

Plaster and Rivet join forces to offer the first track of Uncanny Valleys (Vol.III)

“Uncanny Valleys” compilation series is related to the theory introduced by japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between robots and human beings.

This third opus focuses on Modern sonics, through a variety of genres and interpretations of these aesthetics. While the volume opens with a aerial and breaked track, it unfolds with ritual and 'techno' blending, before stepping into deconstructed territories with heavy vocal and digital manipulations. Finally, the final contributions open up sharply designed sounds and noisy atmospheres, which maintain the link within the compilation series.

Taking a look at music that is influenced by a genre - Industrial-, created in the times where the concept of Uncanny Valleys was created, helps us to grasp the links between the theory and art, both inspired by the development of technologies and its influences on both personal and societal aspects.

We are happy to premiere a track from Incendie's upcoming album on experimental arts collective UNDER MY FEET. Incendie – the solo moniker of berlin-based multimedia artist Arthur BDT known for his work as part of various collaborative projects such as Att Corp (with Templer), Human Spine, and Axes of Fire, ‘Relief’ is BDT’s debut album, and acts as a musical diary used to express and accept his feelings; marked by grim and abrasive sonics, this work and its composition are based around the need to face fears and uneasy emotions. Merging contemporary electronic music with metal and noise influences. Incendie defines the sound of the record through the blending of drone, industrial and deconstructed club sounds with heavy guitar and vocals. 

‘Relief’ will be released by Under My Feet. digitally and on limited-edition cassette  October 29th.
