There's a great sense of space travel to Commit's productions. Taking off from the iced-out planet he left us on with "Saturn Return", here he jets us into the thick misty synth fog of "Lunar Cry" before crash-landing on the unforgiving world of "Eyes Down" where industrial bass and crisp-but-subtle guitar rhythms are the main currency. Later on in the journey he switches of the headlights and flies blind into a cosmic sea of piano-based space debris ("Deadlights") before taking us into hyper speed with the stunning, hunch-backed pneumatic riddim "Extrasensory". Plotting the course for the next universe, we can't wait to see where he's taking us next.

Pogo's incredible Portal/Summoning theme gave me loads of FF7 "City Of The Ancients" mystical vibes, and I immediately knew that this was the track I would attempt to remix for this contest.

Gave it my own retro/futuristic spin, with nods to 80s nostalgia. The second drop takes the track into progressive techno territory to really get the cosmic journey going.

Repping the Sydney music scene for well over a decade, Tim Butler unleashed his new project, Special Circumstances late 2017.

Previously producing under the alias ‘Boot’ as a Dubstep producer, Tim has since shifted his style towards the deep, cerebral and hypnotic sounds of Grey Area.

Regimented but never formulaic, Special Circumstances pushes the envelope, often challenging what’s possible outside of the realm of cookie-cutter electronic music. Intricate polyrhythms, dark atmospherics and otherworldly synth programming form the bedrock of Special Circumstances' musical manifesto.

Above all, the juxtaposition of eerie, haunting moods and dance floor vibes is one that few know how to pull off, and we at Construct are fortunate enough to feature one of Sydney’s finest masters of the dark for our debut Constructions mix.

With his roots planted firmly in Jungle and Hardcore, South East London’s Mani Festo, aka Nick Marks, pays homage to the golden era of UK rave music.

Mani Festo’s career has spanned the course of over four years, and he’s built up a formidable reputation in the community with his heavyweight breakbeat sound and diverse, genre-defying sets.

His productions have secured himself a place on a number of well-respected labels including Rupture, Beat Machine Records and Durkle Disco.

Mani Festo’s next project will see him join forces with fellow producer LMajor on Borai and Denham Audio’s Club Glow, a collaborative project between the two imprints.

Their first instalment, entitled ‘Club Glow Vol.1’ was an 11-track album that flirted with all things nostalgia, rave, hardcore and breakbeat-related.

Club Glow Vol.2 takes it up a notch, as Mani Festo and LMajor are set to deliver a whopping 28-track album on April 26, 2019.

With the release of Club Glow Vol. 2 next week, we are excited to welcome Mani Festo to our Constructions Series. Lock in.
