Recorded in 1997. We'd been out to Atomic Jam at the legendary Que Club in Birmingham until 6am Sunday morning. Speedy J headlined with a live set which was just the best. When I got home, I hit the studio, and this is what happened. Remastered for 2025.

Driving beats, lush synths, cinematic influences and syncopated melodies are blended to form a unique take on electronic music. 

Direct influences stem from synth pop of the 80's, the early pioneers of Detroit Techno, the UK dance music scene of the 90's, and a love of movie scores.  Mixing elements from the classic synths and drum machines with sounds from self-designed and built one-of-a-kind instruments.  

The love of electronics, programming and wide musical influences inspired a then 14-year-old to record his first tracks. Evolving over the years through IDM, Ambient, Minimal Techno, Drum & Bass and eventually we arrive at this current incarnation.

The name 'Common Trigger' is a direct homage to the circuitry of the classic analog Roland drum machines such as the TR-808, TR-909, and the TR-606.
