Well, the world is changing and has changed. What with global warming, the war in Ukraine and Israel not to mention the floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions around the world. It's hard to imagine that we will ever reach the targets that will reverse global temperatures. Changing worlds will take you away from the present situation and give you time to reflect and to escape from reality for a short time.

My new Nocturne that I've started writting a few years ago, the main theme and the E-flat majorish restatement of the main theme came quite swiftly and naturally. However, I found myself a bit stuck on how to proceed further, and as a result, I neglected it for quite some time and focused on other musical pursuits.

However, just around this Christmas, as I leisurely sat by my piano, a new theme and continuation unexpectedly presented themselves, and the composition practically wrote itself from there.

I feel that this piece really captures the essence of a Nocturne, depicting the stillness of the night, scarcely moved by a lonely star or a lamppost on a street, and also conveys the painful but sometimes even sweet melancholy of one's solitude.

This phenomenon is common in people's daily life shown by a large-scale study in which participants spend 47% of their waking time on average on daydreaming . There are various names of this phenomenon including mind wandering, fantasy, spontaneous thoughts, etc. Daydreaming is the term used by Jerome L. Singer whose research programs laid the foundation for nearly all the subsequent research in this area today. The list of terminologies assigned by researchers today puts challenges on identifying the common features of the phenomenon, in this case daydreaming, and on building collective work among researchers.

There are many types of daydreams, and there is no consistent definition amongst psychologists, however the characteristic that is common to all forms of daydreaming meets the criteria for mild dissociation. Also, the impacts of different types of daydreams are not identical. While some are disruptive and deleterious, others may be beneficial in some way.

Bio: "I, am CommonSen5e"

At the age of 16 [2012]years old Mason Metcalf AKA CommonSen5e or CS5 for short, took the reigns of what would become not just a dream but a reality. [Quite quickly] As soon as the name chose him, his life would never be the same. With five studio albums, multiple singles, and a full length Co-op Album with the great Mario Grönnert, Mason is never at a end of creating. With now the sixth studio album launching in September 2023, CS5 stands with some of the greats to achieve such a goal in the music scene. With being underground and connected to all platforms, CS5's music is matched up to those of the likes of Skrillex, Calvin Harris, and Demi Lovato and moving quickly in all directions. A hit in the UK, Germany, and surprisingly the US, shows with the electronic group Modestep in 2019, only time will tell what brings young CS5. Even though CommonSen5e's music is nowhere near mainstream material, the mainstream has no choice but to listen to the birds that sit upon this stream.
