COMO DAMAR aus dem St.Galler Rheintal ist Labelinhaber von MIKROTON.org und seit dem Jahr 2005 Veranstalter/Promoter/DJ im Raum Bodensee Dreiländereck CH/DE/AT von unzähligen Projekten in verschiedenen Clubs mit Artists von Labels wie COCOON, TERMINAL M, DIYNAMIC, CADENZA, DESOLAT, STIL VOR TALENT etc. Das derzeitige Flaggschiff von MIKROTON.org ist die erfolgreiche monatliche Eventserie TANZGESTALTEN im legendären Prachtclub Conrad Sohm in Dornbirn (AT). Als DJ in seiner noch jungen Karriere, schaffte er es jedoch in namhaften Szeneclubs verschiedener europäischer Metropolen mit seiner Musik zu begeistern (z.B. im Shanti Club in Moskau, Pratersauna Club in Wien, Climax Club in Stuttgart, Palais Club in München, Haus B. Club in Köln, Supermarket Zürich oder das ehemalige Club-Q in Zürich). Als Musikproduzent steckt er noch in den Anfängen, sind jedoch bereits Produktionsprojekte geplant auf den Labels Biotop Rec., Straight Ahead Music und Paper Jet Rec. Der musikalische Bogen reicht von chilligen Flächen und Electronica Downbeats bis hin zu hypnotischem Deephouse und Hypnotechno. Elektronische Musik ohne Grenzen à la Mikroton eben.

OctaState was already experimenting with a four-track recorder and a borrowed C64 while in high school. Since the mid 1990s OctaState’s concern in electronic music genres grew up more and more - especially for the uprising Jungle/D'n'B community. 

First efforts directed him to the amazing fields of Drum and Bass. The logical result after a period of being a lonesome producer was the groundbreaking collaboration with NiceNine, founder and member of Bassda, which became a very successful live DnB group in Switzerland.

Based on these experiences, OctaState developed his production skills further. As one of the founders and members of the Swiss based DnB-crew called "Local Bass Movement / LBM" is OctaState often performing live. In the clubs he uses as a main tool his highly esteemed octatrack sampler. OctaState's live sets are unique, and so is his style.
