Collaboration alert! Two of the most prominent artists amid the so-called Indie Dance & Dark Disco scene, Radial Gaze & Ludviq joined forces for the first time and came up with a mythical EP coming soon on ODD Pleasures in both digital and vinyl formats. Inspired by Hera, Perseus, and Hercules, the “Ruins of Argos” EP delivers its message via three imperative originals and two outstanding remixes made by none other than Colossio (SXDNS025) and Mishell (SXDNS228).

Before landing on ODD, Guadalajara-born Barcelona-based Ludviq had a solid string of works published on Altered Rhythm Experience, Kyma Komplex, Melomana, and his very own Bonkers – yeah, we are talking only about his 2024 output, have that in mind. The Russian duo Radial Gaze, on the other hand, are finally starting their release season after well-received appearances on Eskimo, Urge To Dance, NEIN, and Kinetika Music in 2023.

In turn, Colossio, the mastermind behind the remix premiered here, has also taken the busy road having already appeared on ISOLATE, Riotvan, Tour de Infinite, and RAVE EN TU IDIOMA since the beginning of the year. For his take on "Bitter Falcon", the rising Mexican superstar went B-A-N-G-E-R! His Latino influences are all over his interpretation and the result is a proper dance floor filler.

Dream Hack is a new side project from the Sheffield based producer Randolph & Mortimer. A new alias created as a tribute to the electronic dance music of the mid 90s, a period in time when a new style of underground dance music was pushing through with bands like Underworld, Fluke, Drum Club and Eat Static leading the charge. These artists were blending everything from Techno to Trance, Acid to Ambient vibes and that’s what this new alias is all about, just having fun experimenting and mixing up the genres
The idea behind White Heat / Acid City was to create a piece of work that felt like a live show, constantly shifting between styles and vibes, tempos and instrumentation. Comprised of three tracks this release is very much inspired by the old skool ethos of writing long, evolving tracks. Whilst the influences are very much a nod back to a classic time in the beginnings of dance music there are still modern twists in it’s creation to keep it feeling fresh. Switching between Techno, Ambient, Trance and Dub influences, it’s dance music but created by a producer whose musical DNA is as much based in hardcore and alternative guitar music as it is electronic music so it’s about songs as well dancelfoor weapons. An album that works being listened to in a darkened room or driving around cities late at night as much as it works in the clubs.
It’s time to jack in.

After 3 years from his debut on Nothing Is Real, Astroloop is back with a new 3 tracks EP called “Chase The light”, this time with a strongly oriented dance attitude. The main song “Chase the Light” will bring heat on the dancefloor, with the catchy acid line and the chopped vocals. The producer touches on some different ways of production with “Hint”, a percussive banger with arpeggios surprises during the arrangement. The Italian producer Aheadacheaday made a remix treatment to ‘Chase The light’, giving a deeper character
preserving the acid soul of the track.

Nothing Is Real landed for the 28th release with “Disco Knife” by Sugar Rody. Co-founder of the mighty Dark Disko night in Tallin, he delivered a post-punk synth-wave 5 tracks EP, which includes two amazing remixes by the label friends Mufti and Gunce Aci.
‘Disco Knife’ captures the attention with the main synth, that followed by the vocal from the iconic duo Local Suicide, gently drives the composition hugging the dark and distorted guitar solo melody.
The second track ‘Jean Claude’ with his psychedelic guitar and leads, It transports the listeners in a cosmic journey. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly piece of Dark Wave music. The Mexican master Mufti did a remix treatment to this track, giving a special night driver twist with his unique new wave fingerprint.
The third track ‘On The Run’ has an Italo-disco soul, composed by rolling bassline and synth pop melodies.
Finishing off the release is the remix by the Turkish artist based in Istanbul Gunce Aci, which makes a fantastic disco-dub version of the main track ‘Disco Knife’, delivering a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.

Sugar Rody Feat. Local Suicide - Disco Knife (Gunce Aci Remix) [Nothing Is Real]

Like other duos, such as Daft Punk or The Chemical Brothers, Tepat Huleux and Giac Di Falco have been inseparable since they first met at their Calais high school in 1996, bonding over trips across the Belgian border to continue their education at Ghent's legendary warehouse parties. Now under the identity You Man, all their years of learning have enabled the two
producers to find their own unique sound which they call "Club Wave", a heady mix of electro club, new wave melodies and dark, deviant and hypnotic disco grooves.

First released back in 2013, You Man's debut EP Restless -and its lead track Birdcage- launched the career of French duo Tepat Huleux and Giac Di Falco, kickstarting a decade of stunning live shows played all around the globe and acclaimed releases and remixes on labels such as as Tronik Youth’s NEIN, Boston Bun’s Circa’99 and Eskimo Recordings. Now, to
celebrate their first ten years in the game Huleux and Di Falco have revisited their debut EP, and this time they've brought along some of the many friends they've made over the past decade, from house legend Etienne de Crécy to pianist Des Jonquilles.

With its chugging 109 bpm beat and a melody that switches from throbbing minimalism to something tantalisingly close to a full-on Ibiza sunrise moment, the EP's lead track Birdcage has never strayed too far from discerning DJs record bags but across several remixes here we get to see it reinterpreted in thrilling new ways.

We’re happy to cordially invite you to the Regression Session, hosted by eternal Philadelphia scene flag bearers @zillasonacid ! And if you think this sounds awfully lot like a scam, you’re probably right: „Regression Session“ is just a front of their illegal black market operation, trading raw uncut gems on a large scale. Just listen to the opener and title track and you won’t exactly have a strong case for the Zillas selling out, but rough as it is, this thing is capable of destroying any dancefloor it touches. Looking at their recent releases it’s fair to say the Z’s are on quite a run, putting out music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Throne Of Blood, Multi Culti or Ivan Smagghe’s Disques de la Mort. Tunes like the sneaky rough slow burners „Underling“ or „Start Digging“ sound like they could be lifted from the latter’s infamous DJ sets, while the deceptively titled „Cha Cha Cha“ or closer „Casual Observer“ justify the „Acid“ in the artist name. „Shining Snakes Across The Lake“ is what some years might have been called a mid-tempo house roller and probably counts as downtempo these days. Speaking of tempos, the penultimate „Sweet Days Of Discipline“ starts of masquerading as reaaally downtempo, but ends up throwing 155bpm kick drums at you, so better watch out, all you k-hole ravers! Let’s not forget to talk about „bquiet“, which is what you’d call mid-tempo house these days (125bpm) and uses the eternally banging combination of a jacking beat, a polyrhythmic bass line, some lead-synth stabs and talking vocal slices. You can practically smell the sweat. So what’s left to say? What you see is what you get: They are Zillas, and they are on Acid. And they provide a collection of eight tunes that probably each don’t necessarily have a double-digit amount of tracks in their DAW projects, and that’s exactly what makes them so forceful. The 44th Chapter in this story sees the release of JOBE’s "My Regrets", featuring the haunting vocals of Haptic and a big Edition from label bosses VVerses. As ever with JOBE, the EP is a powerful combination of darkness, melody and heft. Title track "My Regrets" is true to form, built on a chunky, driving groove that opens into an expansive and euphoric vocal-led peak in which Haptic takes the lead, giving a performance that is typically haunting and emotional. The Dub Edition, meanwhile, offers a useful counterpoint that smooths out the highs of the original. Up next, the "VVerses Lessons Learned Edition" is a blissful combination of new wave-influenced broken beat, delayed basslines and dripping acid. Haptic’s vocal, transformed into an impersonal and heavily vocodered robotic presence, holds the track together as it culminates into choppy ravey chords that channel a Balearic feel. Final track "Luma" is an ominous afro tech roller, big dusty drums encasing a central arp that ups the ante and is bound to make the dancefloor bounce. Interweaving synths relentlessly build the tension to a crescendo.
JOBE does it again with his My Regrets EP, right in time for the summer months. Here are stories in sound not to be missed on Chapter 24.

Marvin & Guy and Dj Tennis are back with the fourth volume of their Life of Marvin imprint after the infamous repress from Roby J, Sick Hardcore (aka Gabry Fasano) and Model Citizen on the first 2 volumes, real pieces of art in the Dance music produced in the early 90s from these Italian legends, originally released on Franco Falsini’s Interactive Test record label, and after Dj Miki’s outstanding full dedicated EP in 2018.

On this 4th installment we can see the return of Miki with the track “Templares” (TEMPorary Low Audible RESonance) together, for the very first time even if they are colleagues and friends since 30 years, with another heavyweight better known as Francesco Farfa with the track “Peace Treaty”, both remastered and originally released on Interactive Test.

If you think this is it you’re definitely wrong, there are also 2 remixers, one for each track, responding to the name of Roman Flügel and Gerd Janson. It goes without saying that these two gentlemen did a superb and highly respectful job. Quality at its best!
