We’ve reached out across the pond for this week’s entry to our SOLITUDE guest mix series ✈️ 

Presenting the effortlessly sick selector: @sageintrospekt 🇺🇸 

Sage is based in Los Angeles, but her passion for the deep dark side of grime, dubstep and UKG is more certified than a lot of heads from the U.K. She’s a vinyl collector through and through, and found a calling in the underground from crate digging in various record stores across LA and beyond.

These spots introduced her to the moody 2-step sound she’s now recognised for in her own productions, and contrastingly, these records also helped ignite her passion for uplifting, vocal led, old school UKG flavours that feature heavily on her next set of releases.

Sage has been making music since the early 2000’s across multiple genres. Most of her older sounds take a clear influence from the fruity loop era we all love and that raw, stripped back, U.K. born griminess. After a break from producing, Sage is back with an almighty collection of upcoming music.

Her “I Know U Want Me” EP releases TODAY on @gimmeabreakrecords, marking their first release of many for 2022. Swing by their page to cop that right now 💥 

We’d also suggest delving into the sounds of @bored_lord, another US based artist from Oakland, California who collaborated with Sage for their “24hrs” EP that dropped earlier this month. Packed with breaky jungle vibes, iconic samples and a nicely diverse set of tracks. “Request The Style” in particular has been doing the rounds in parties over here lately. 

You’ve likely heard her putting out insanely tight mixes for her residencies with @balamii and @threadsradio. She also recently ticked the box for her first physical release with a beautiful remix for @elizarosedj on Eliza’s “Plant Lovers EP” which is an absolute must listen.

Sage is also on the lineup for the first ever USA @keephushuk show on February 24th hosted by @warp_mode_ - she’s billed alongside @bianca_oblivion, @aksportsdj,   @bored_lord, @bastiengoat, @nikki__nair and @stareyezzz - historic business inbound 📚
