Alec and I know each other personally for almost 2 years got to know him at the end of 2019 in Dresden at his resident club Sektor Evolution where I was booked that night. Since then we are in constant contact also with the whole Sektor crew which has grown very close to my heart. What does techno look like in its purest form? Clear in its structure. Credible in its message. With an insistent beat in the background. With its heart in the right place. And in the process he and his label have themselves grown to become a major force.It's as if Complexed Records hit the nerve of an age which was not openly calling out for a powerful breath of techno past, yet still seems relieved to hear it. Or rather, to absorb it. Who would have thought a few years ago that once again a new techno label would be established and experience such a meteoric rise. But let's leave the past in peace.
