BR118 is for the Belgian artist Mixklank and his roots lie in the same town as our label. His style can be described as dark, somewhat eclectic and obscure. On remix duty are APX Sound and Vjörn with 2 different visions on the track thatmakes the EP complete.  

Bio:
Mixklank is a Belgian Techno producer and audio engineer born on the 1th of February 1991. His father initiated him to music by listening to 70's and 80's hits on an old record player. When aged 8, Mixklank was already playing guitar and he experienced his first time as a DJ when he was 12 years old.

The same year, he bought his first DJ equipment and created his first mixes in his bedroom. In 2007, at 16 years old, he participated in the “TMF DJ’s at home” contest. Mixklank was one of the 12 participants selected for the contest. His live mix was recorded and broadcasted on the television channel TMF. One year later, he expanded his music skills by producing his own tracks. In 2009, Mixklank released a first track under the Spanish label Productos BMM, under the name of DJ Jaimy. 

Unfortunately, Productos BMM stopped its activity as a music label and took down all the releases. From 2009 until 2015, Mixklank entertained music lovers at multiple local parties. 

Thereafter, Mixklank took a break of 4 years on music in order to focus on his other passion: videography. However, at the start of 2019 he realized he missed producing electronic music and started his education as an audio engineer. Mixklank is now a proud Techno producer and mixing & mastering engineer in his own music studio, also named Mixklank. 

In 2020, Mixklank started releasing tracks again.

'Endurance' has a slightly old school edge to it with 90's vibe rave stabs, yet with modern production and current elements. 'Time Waits For No Man' completes this single and is a peak time techno burner! A well-rounded EP the way we like it.

What does techno look like in its purest form? Clear in its structure. Credible in its message. With an insistent beat in the background. With its heart in the right place. And in the process he and his label have themselves grown to become a major force.It's as if Complexed Records hit the nerve of an age which was not openly calling out for a powerful breath of techno past, yet still seems relieved to hear it. Or rather, to absorb it. Who would have thought a few years ago that once again a new techno label would be established and experience such a meteoric rise. But let's leave the past in peace. Let's look to the future. A glittering future with packed dance floors, on which visionaries once again celebrate music as a unifying element as they dance together into the early hours, with gratified smiles on their faces.
