After doing this a few months, I've finally gotten into my groove of discovering/curating/editing this playlist while managing my time, and it feels great. I'm a college student with finals next week and high school tutoring just finished for the school year since most of them finished last week; I need to be as efficient as possible with my priorities here.

This week is bringing new tunes to reflect a bit of my mood, and check out all the free download links! Impossible for me to not mention the new track by Flume, it's a great track with thousands of plays already.

Lots of names pretty new to me this week:  we have https://soundcloud.com/disfnk, https://soundcloud.com/escents (Madbliss), and https://soundcloud.com/officialvada repping Los Angeles and the Film Noir crew. Hex Cougar also from Los Angeles with a remix of that old Eurythmics track.  Minorstep out of Athens with a Kehlani remix and Fredrick from New Zealand with a truly gnarly sound. Dabow from Argentina, who just released an EP through Mad Decent. Also associated with Daruma, they have a couple tracks on the list.

As mentioned last week, there was no live show today due to the LB State basketball game that aired during our slot -- but no worries because Joe Kay dropped a 60 minute set of some stand out selects that he either just discovered, was holding onto, and rediscovered. We played back a few cuts from last week such as the intro track by Yung Gud! God this track is a bad one even Sango is opening up with it at his recent shows. 

We went to go check out Afta-1 at his first performance back since his hiatus which inspired us to include some of his tracks in here. Also, Carmack just lost his laptop this past week and we feel really bad considering all the gold that was on there. All good though, he is already on the verge of recreating a whole other level of music with more fire to his fuel. We'll be back next Saturday with the lovely ladies Kronika, Sasha Marie, & Eden.

Zero Gravity

Since Sonic Bloom music festival was only an hour away from my home, I naturally brought a nice sound system for my booth. On Sunday afternoon, after a weekend of playing chill bass music for the vending area I moved my sub and PAs out into the concert field and wafted dreamwaves of sound over people walking between the main stage and side stages. This short set lasted until the main stage started back up, at which time I moved my sound back into my booth. 

This is what I chose to play, ambient bass and dreamwaves to people who had been blasted with amazing high tempo music all weekend, this was a moment of solace amidst the chaotic beauty.

This short mix features music by Oliver Tank, Guerre, and Lusine as well as other talented producers. The tracklist was lost in a waking dream, much love to all producers who produce beautiful ambient music. <3
