The first song on David Vail's ambitious and beautiful debut album, "Unvailed", recorded at Listen Up Studios. David wrote the lyrics and music and Colin Malakie arranged it. David played bass, rhythm guitar, and drums on this one; Colin piano and backing vocals; and Kyle Morgan lead guitar and also backing vocals. A powerful and catchy way to kick off the album. In addition to being Listen Up's "heavy metal priest," Bobby is also one of our most humble and thoughtful lyricists. As he continues to work on his debut album, enjoy his newest single featuring himself on both vocals and drums. Colin worked with Bobby to mix the song, and is featured on piano, bass, and backing vocals, with acoustic guitar added by Zohar. Here's what Bobby has to say: "I worked really hard on this song and it took quite awhile to put it together. Hope you like it."

Sophie's newest single is actually an old song unearthed from several years ago. She wrote the lyrics, with acoustic guitar and arrangement provided by Tyler. Colin helped Sophie finalize the mix and we think you'll love the final result! Here's what Sophie has to say:

"I wrote this song because it’s about my life in general. It talks about what life is like and has a really nice sound to it. Tyler was nice enough to help me make this song come to life with his musical writing and guitar performance. I hope that other people can relate to this song, and I hope it get’s stuck in your
head! When your life feels crazy, just hum this tune in your head, and you’ll feel much better!"

My Life

Malakai is excited to release his debut single with Listen Up! Music. Zohar helped him write and record the song, and Malakai sang all of the lyrics. Here's what he has to say about the track:

"Hi, my name is Malakai Green and I hope you like my song. It’s called The Sunburn Song - it’s just a reminder to all of you people around the world to be careful how much time you spend in the sun because it could give you a big red burn!  If you don’t want dry skin, don’t stay in the sun too long; also, when you are driving, don’t look directly into the sun! Alright, that’s all I have to say to you people. The Sunburn Song

Andrew's debut single with Listen Up has been many years in the making. He wrote the lyrics at home on his laptop, and with support from Colin he worked to record and mix the finished track, first in the studio and then virtually during quarantine. Andrew sang lead vocals on the song, with Colin adding guitars, bass and backing vocals. Here's what Andrew has to say about the track:

"I wrote this song because a lot of people ask me questions and sometimes it's overwhelming. The meaning of the song is about the same questions floating around in a circle. I'm excited for you guys to hear my first single at Listen Up! I hope you enjoy it."
