These days, I have nothing to sing about. So I end up just sitting down and talking though the guitar. This is a one-take improvised session with guitar and loops and no tricks. Reminiscent of the instrumental side project "The Smallest Bones" that I came up with back in 2010. I hope you'll like it!

Excelente el trabajo de la "Pachuco Big Band", barbaros los solos de Agustin Sandoval "el serafin" el trompeta y de Luis Francisco Silva "El chipi" en el trombón.

Farwell Blues

Soy Marcos Rayas y esta es mi música.

Mexicano de nacimiento y alma. Tras años de estudios musicales en mi ciudad natal -Guadalajara, Jalisco-, continué mi formación jazzística en JAZZUV -Xalapa, Veracruz-. Posteriormente, mi camino me llevó a estudiar composición en el Instituto Superior de Arte de la Habana, Cuba.

En cada obra busco crear nuevos mundos para generar experiencias. Transportar al público con diferentes texturas y matices. Con armonías sin pretensiones, pero con esencia. 

Plasmar mis raíces y mezclarlas a una realidad en constante evolución para crear música abierta a la experimentación, música libre de prejuicios.
