Laroye, who also recently remixed a Galliano track for Brownswood, delivered an ethereal tune with much musical respect to the original club hit. Moodorama (recently remixed Jazzanova, youANDme) present a version with an extra delicious pump. Chocolate Garage Production from Cologne stripped the airy house serenade down to the bone, while Inkswel cutting it to a new broken beat hemisphere.

The title track Golden Glow is a electric samba-infused broken beat gem, with joyful vocal melodies and a superfunky bassline creating a truly elevated vibe.

Reverie comes in smooth slow-motion house guise. Yuu's ethereal vocal interludes unfold in interplay with playful piano improvisations, underpinned by an irresistible groove.

The track “One More” seems to come straight out of a smoky jazz club. Jazzy piano sounds meet plucked double bass, underlaid with dreamy synth pads and Yuu's whispers from the twilight zone.

On Velvet City, Yuu unleashes her soulful vocal talent and her flair for wonderfully ambitiously produced deep house. A great, uplifting jam that appeals to both the heart and the dancing leg.

For the first time since we started, we have handed the entire show to an artist—one who is perhaps South Africa’s most treasured electronic music virtuoso.
To celebrate the announcement of the first Felix Laband European tour since 2018, he has constructed a set composed entirely of original music, exclusively for this show. Some of it you will know—a lot of it you won’t. As always, the show will be shared on the OpenLab archives next week.
With five studio albums to his name and an anthology of singles, EPs, and albums to come—it is here that we look into Felix’s past while contemplating his ever-evolving future as an electronic musician.
With shows across Europe, the centerpiece is taking place in London on 2 August 2025 at 17 Little Portland Street, The Tent at the End of the Universe, where OpenLab, in conjunction with Sub Sahara, will present Felix Laband live in London for the first time ever.
This set is a reflective and forward-thinking journey through 25 years of musical output for Felix Laband—and an unusual gift for fans of electronic music the world over.

Yuu Udagawa, who studied art and philosophy in high school, has since performed at clubs, festivals and fashion shows and is now a regular in the lounges of five-star hotels like the Park Hyatt Tokyo, showcasing her versatility as a DJ. Drawing on her insights and extensive experience in creating musical atmospheres invarious spaces, she continues expanding her musical creation journey.

In 2010, she composed "Blossom," the main menu BGM for Sony PlayStation 3 (Torne and Vita),captivating gamers. After that, she released several tracks for various projects. In 2021, her music caught the eye of German artist Manuel Tur, leading to her music being released through prestigious labels such as Compost Records in Munich, Germany, Cyphon Recordings in London, founded by Jimpster and Tom Roberts, to the up-and-coming Cosmocities Records in Dijon, France, and the popularRazor-N-Tape in Brooklyn, USA. These collaborations have boosted her international visibility. She was invited by Freerange Records in London to deliver a DJ MIX on Apple Music to celebrate International Women's Day 2024.

After one and a half decade and more than 380 releases, Compost Records bundles some of their

The variety and full spectrum of Compost’s repertoire has never or rarely been presented in form of a musical genre compilation. These releases will be compiled or DJ-mixed by Compost’s artists and are available as digital downloads, except in some rare cases very very limited as 500 CDs.

Rupert & Mennert compiled already the Compost Jazz Selection Vol.1 & 2 and the Compost Downbeat Selection Vol.1, now they explored the experimental side of the Compost vault. You will find some leftfield classics from the early Compost days by Turntable Terranova (1996), Genf (1997), Nonplace Urban Field (1998), Felix Laband (2005), Fauna Flash (2001), and some abstract 
downbeat gems by Funkstörung (1996), Ben Mono (2007), Monassa (2003) and Alif Tree (2008) 
- of course all blended in a smooth mix.

Who are Rupert & Mennert?
They reside in Den Helder, The Netherlands. One of the most beautiful cities in the world. From there
they send their fine radioshow into the wide world. The show is currently re-invented. The Sound of
Swound ran for more then 200 shows. But it will be replaced by something even better: “Weird Pigs -
not for copycats”. This will also run on www.djbroadcast.fm and www.play.fm.
Besides their love for broadcasting they produce music too. Together with Me Raabenstein they
released, as Lagerfeltz, an album on Nonine Recordings, Berlin.Together with remix-work for Energie
du Verre and Ensemble du Verre (Batterie Records, Hamburg) their release-roster is building. A remix
on this very label is also in the making.
