In his Focus EP for Drumpoet, Tal showcases his versatility across a diverse spectrum. San Diego was the name given to the front facing extravaganza which was beach parlours and candy floss. San Diago were the streets which sat behind the glimmering facade, where the real people lived and had fun once the darkness had fallen.

They lived on street corners, laughed and hung out as the stars flickered up above. Really it all belonged to them.

First part of the precursor 12”-EP to Mr Raoul K’s new album, which will be released in autumn 2024. The afro house pioneer has returned to his home country Côte d'Ivoire. Raoul K: “Since I know how good and easy it is to live in my home country of Côte d'Ivoire, I drew a line in Germany and set off.” So he’s back in full effect with spiritual afro-tinged gems, catching the vibe and easier living there, and discovered Sidney Simila, a new voice from Kenya. Mr Raoul K feat. Sidney Simila - Sinkere [Compost]

Dancing through the clouds, it seemed as if they might never find their way back to earth. Up above the world below, they felt at home wandering amidst the deep blue, watching as the fluffy pillows floated on by beneath them casting shadows down upon a dense green planet. From time to time they’d catch a glimpse of where they had arisen from, only to become re-emerged in the density of the fluffy white orbs.

They wandered atop a rainbow road, in the search of something more, something far more than what was beneath. They danced amidst the stars upon a highway of technicolour dreams.

This was the vision of a new future.

Anna Schreit is a Berlin producer and DJ who has dedicated an EP to close friends. Forthcoming on Compost Records this one showcases elegant House music with a nod to Detroit and beyond.

Anna was born and raised in Berlin, into a family of a musician who exposed her to a diverse range of music genres from a very young age. Her father's art rock band was one of her earliest influences, shaping her understanding of music and its various forms.

Despite living in the techno capital, it was actually during a trip to Munich that Anna was introduced to the world of electronic music. It was here that she discovered the exotic sounds of house music, which proved to be a turning point for her musical journey. She was captivated by the diverse sub-genres within house music, and it became a defining characteristic of her style - constantly diving and resurfacing through a multitude of sub-genres.

After falling in love with the endless possibilities of house music, Anna began DJing in 2012 to share the tracks she had collected and built up over the years. Her goal was to create immersive experiences and take her listeners on unique journeys through her sets. With a passion for music that runs deep, Anna continues to explore and experiment with new sounds, always striving to evolve and push the boundaries of what's possible within electronic music!
