Feel good dance music, smile n’ drive mutant disco with remixes by Ilya Santana and Sleazy McQueen.
Evol Ai, artistic moniker of Slovenian based musician, producer and dj Alan Roposa, represents the emotional half of his musical orientation, while the other half Qualiass aims more at his energetic soundscape. Evol Ai is smile hunter and emotion cultivator, knowing that smile and tears come from the same place. It’s the love in reverse, it is love in chinese and it’s what the “I” loves.
Background wise, Alan’s first major 12” Qualia release titled Qualia Nation EP came out in 2004 on Minimal Records. Thru the past decade, he’s been musically evolving his aliases from Qualia, Qualia Six, Qualia 6, Qualias Dead to Qualiass and Evol Ai, wrapping over 20 releases on various labels around the world (see discography belew). As well as he did remixes for Laurent Garnier, Franz Ferdinand, Lindström a.m.o.
Besides producing, making music for video games, advertisements and theater, Alan’s been involved in various bands as a guitar player and the man behind the machines, most notoriously with fellow studio partner Yanoosh (Ohmfat), with whom they had a series of fresh and unique sounding live performances, which concluded in 2011 as full band support for The Klaxons at various festivals and clubs. Besides distinctive live shows with the band, Alan also tends to put distinctive element in his dj sets, which are a kind of a hybrid mix between dj, live and re-edit approach from tech to disco. As such, Evol Ai and Qualiass sets always leave the dancers satisfied and fulfilled with eclectic and broad range selection of music, feel-good attitude, creative mixing, “fu*k the genres” storytelling and “let’s have fun, because we are not rocket scientists” stage presence.
In 2012 he started doing music under the name Evol Ai, debuting with first ever track La Fu on Nang’s Beach Disco Sessions 3 compilation by Ilya Santana. His first solo release, two track La Fu EP came out few months after on respected label Nang Records and got support from many big names in nudisco, deep house and house scene, with the track La Fu selected as one of the favorites at the time by Bottin and heard on numerous mixes and dance floors around the world.

A warm welcome to Sonson, who’s delivering the goods with the fantastic “My Blues EP”. 

The original took our hearts by storm with its silky-smooth live piano, effortlessly floating over a constantly driving, simple yet effective and uplifting groove work. So we immediately made plans for a full release with the talented Munich DJ and producer with whom we have been friends for years. It didn’t take long until Michael, Sonson’s real name, came up with the great idea of asking his old pal and French house don Franck Roger to remix the tune - an artist all of us deeply admire for his unique body of work and ongoing contribution to our scene (Real Tone, Earthrumental, countless nights at Paris’ Djoon club you name it). Luckily he’s been digging the tune and made two utterly great versions by adding his magic - the uplifting Earthrumental Mix that sticks with the piano and a Dubthrumental that fully lives up to its name. The package is rounded off by Sonson’s “My Dub” and “My Beat” versions and whereas the dub is a bit more stripped back, dropping off the piano while adding some trippy synth textures, the beat is just a perfect tool for the working DJ. Voila!

The title track Golden Glow is a electric samba-infused broken beat gem, with joyful vocal melodies and a superfunky bassline creating a truly elevated vibe.

Reverie comes in smooth slow-motion house guise. Yuu's ethereal vocal interludes unfold in interplay with playful piano improvisations, underpinned by an irresistible groove.

The track “One More” seems to come straight out of a smoky jazz club. Jazzy piano sounds meet plucked double bass, underlaid with dreamy synth pads and Yuu's whispers from the twilight zone.

On Velvet City, Yuu unleashes her soulful vocal talent and her flair for wonderfully ambitiously produced deep house. A great, uplifting jam that appeals to both the heart and the dancing leg.

Yuu Udagawa, who studied art and philosophy in high school, has since performed at clubs, festivals and fashion shows and is now a regular in the lounges of five-star hotels like the Park Hyatt Tokyo, showcasing her versatility as a DJ. Drawing on her insights and extensive experience in creating musical atmospheres invarious spaces, she continues expanding her musical creation journey.

In 2010, she composed "Blossom," the main menu BGM for Sony PlayStation 3 (Torne and Vita),captivating gamers. After that, she released several tracks for various projects. In 2021, her music caught the eye of German artist Manuel Tur, leading to her music being released through prestigious labels such as Compost Records in Munich, Germany, Cyphon Recordings in London, founded by Jimpster and Tom Roberts, to the up-and-coming Cosmocities Records in Dijon, France, and the popularRazor-N-Tape in Brooklyn, USA. These collaborations have boosted her international visibility. She was invited by Freerange Records in London to deliver a DJ MIX on Apple Music to celebrate International Women's Day 2024.

Kolors is not your average compilation; the project explores the individual visual perception of color and how that compares to the unique auditory experience of music.

The 15 contributing artists have all chosen a color to define the essence of their track. The selected colors expand the traditional spectrum with on-point specifics like ‘Matt Silver,’ ‘Lunar White’ and ‘Mint Green’. Regardless how many adjectives used, everyone will see these colors differently, and that is exactly the point! The experience of colors, like music, is subjective.

The project’s rich concept adds layered depth and gives listeners an expanded auditory experience. The colors are well considered and one hears the artistic intention behind the labeling.

In a profoundly personal, artistic revelation artists also provided the reasoning behind their selection, evoking instant imagery and placing listeners in the mind of the musician. Of their track, ‘Lunar White’, John Charnis & Jimmy Maheras said, “When we wrote the song the melodies reminded us of the moments in a dark dance floor where people's faces were illuminated, whether by strobe lights and lasers, or the glow of the moon in an outdoor party.” That visual association becomes abundantly clear when one listens to the corresponding music. On ‘Fuchsia’ Dance Spirit say, “’Fuchsia’ is the color of universal harmony and emotional balance and helps to create harmony and balance in every aspect of life. That is what we are trying to attain through the message of this song, and our music in general.”

The album takes listeners on an oculauditory journey through time and space; from Julien Chaptal’s lush and peaceful ‘Orange’ to Doomwork’s moody and introspective ‘Midnight Blue’, the LP tells a story. Kolors features seasoned Supernature artists like Den Ishu (who also releases under Desolat and Noir), Carlos Sanchez (a young gun, blazing the industry by storm, receiving praise from industry veterans like Danny Tanaglia and Richie Hawtin) and Audiofly to name a few- but true to their standard the label focuses on emerging talent. Affirming the strength of the label’s talent pool, even the new family members deliver auditory joy in epic proportions.

New to the imprint, Balcazar & Sordo’s “Blue”, is pure tantric! The track demonstrates beautiful restraint, true energy control, feeding one deep, groovy bass line after another in perfect cadence. On the duo Maceo Plex has been quoted saying, ‘These guys are very close to writing a big hit, I can tell”. Well if they haven’t already this is probably the one. Expect to hear it across dance floors this summer.

This album invites you to experience music differently from everybody else, on your own personal terms, based on your own vision. Art is subjective, what you see may not be what I see, and that is the beauty of it. So sit back, and give it a listen... or 10, stroke your chin and ponder deeply. Unlike most dance albums, or label for that matter, Supernature and Kolors wants you to do more than dance, they want you to think and feel and groove - they want you to experience music on a whole new level.

Full Intention are finally back in 2013 with a stunning EP on Rebirth. Michael Gray and Jon Pearn need no introductions. Spreading their dominating sound for the last 15 years they have been a pioneering force on the global dance music scene. Like a crusader of the night, DJ and event manager Jeremy J is a household name on the far north entertainment front.

A near perfect ear, a brand of house, tech, breaks, hip hop, disco, acid jazz and funk that defines great music and the seamless way of compiling tracks together creating the ultimate party vibe. Residing in Cairns, Jeremy J burst onto the national scene through the mix ‘If It Aint Broken Don’t Fix It’ through AKA/Triple J and his own compilation release (House2Hard Vol 2), tours and role with Generationext.
