The Miami-based L.I.E.S. and Apron correspondent mixes up a bunch of techno and electro for our 89th podcast. 
According to the man himself, we have the much-maligned internet to thank for the music of Greg Beato getting picked up for release by Apron and L.I.E.S. last year. All four 12"s issued in 2013 bearing the name of Greg Beato suggested that the Miami-based producer was capable of crafting some tripped out dancefloor material many veteran artists would be jealous of (not to mention the grip of memorable track titles he's been responsible for). This impression transfers to Beato's record playing skills, with the official L.I.E.S. tagline that he "DJs like a seasoned veteran who has been in the trenches fighting the fight for a long time" more than re-emphasised on his mix for Juno Plus. Clocking in at 75 minutes long, Beato skilfully runs through all manner of unidentifiable techno and electro on a mix that's been getting some serious repeat plays in our office.

Those wishing to catch Greg Beato in his element will be happy to discover that this month sees the youngster embark on a European tour, commencing with in Berlin with further events lined up in Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and a London date with Legowelt and Route 8 for the Find Me In The Dark crew. Despite Beato's acknowledgement that the internet played a key role in his music gaining wider recognition through FunkinEven and Ron Morelli's respective labels, the producer seems less inclined than many of his contemporaries with engaging in the self-promotion game, which made it somewhat of a surprise when he agreed to participate in answering some questions to accompany his mix. The Gotheborg writing scene is strictly connected to electro music. 
The swedish master, LUKE EARGOGGLE (@Dr-Lindh) active from the late 80’s wrote and produced many tracks to express the connection between street art and music.
In the meanwhile Future Me records grew as a powerful label from the suburban eastside of Milan, giving service to the electronic scene and producing underground parties in the City.
The collision inspired a limited edition vinyl, with a graffiti’s fanzine telling about Eargoggle’s aka “DUDES” works and the entire Swedish movement, with photos from the past and a chromie sticker produced by NOMOIRE garphics.
So, you must know the goal of making music is not to arrive, but it is simply to leave a mark, to indoctrinate the young people who come after us to believe in a movement. And yes, it’s like a block on the wall.

B1-Luke Eargoggle - System Crash

The evolution of the history of music to Electro and Miami Bass response ITALIAN is the protagonist in the second release of The-Zone Records 
Side A is signed by artists, experimenting in the 80s and low 90s drum machines and synthetic, have given rise to new musical forms, still points of reference for the new generations, respectively defined Electro-Techno and Miami Bass. From the industrial city of Detroit Michigan, Aux 88 transformed the Afrikabambataa’s electro funk on techno sounds from the world originating in their city. While in Florida ("Planet of the bass") Debonaire has skill fully combined the American Rap with the imposing German electro bass power, voice and scratch, creating an explosive groove for the dancefloor. Two tracks in collaboration with their friend and one of the highest electro pioneer  made in Italy, Max Durante, who knew how to mix low rolling, electrical items and broken beats recreating setting really old school. Ketty Boccia is the featuring appear on track with Debonaire and Max  Durante, she is an important figure of the Techno-Electro Italian movement.
The B side is all signed by Max Durante. Two tracks , the expression of what has always been the bridge between the musical sound of Detroit and Rome

For over 13 years now Illektrolab aka Dj L3go has amazed audienced of all ages world wide. His electro breaks have earned him the title, "the electro specialist". His high energy sets and dark electro sci-fi style are know to move the crowd and tantalize the sense's.  Illektrolab has done work for prestegious labels such as , Finger Licking Records, Soul of Man, Plump Dj's, and world wide Battle records.  

Beat junkie, producer and dj who has been moving minds galaxy wide for well over the past decade with his unique blend of dark sci-fi robot infected electro sounds for the dance floor. Being influenced by the early days of electro, breakdancing, hip hop, graff, and broken beat music such as Kraftwerk, Chakka khan, Newcleus, Styx, Egyptian Lover, Midnight Star, Lisa Lisa, Run DMC, Afrikka Bambatta, Edie Grant, Kurtis Blow, and many more talented artists.

In 1995 he purchased his first set of turntables self teaching the tactics and skills he would later use to rock party people on the dance floor world wide. Weekends soon became forest and full moon parties with beats and freaks dancing under the stars in the very beautifull northern Arizona countryside. In 1996 he moved to London to pursue his dreams of production and become submerged in the UKs underground electronic dance culture and music scene. While living in the UK he performed at his first massive event called World of Dance in Aug of 1996 under the name Neon Beat batteling the Psyconauts along side the bassest from Massive Attack and Big Darren, plus several smaller events and happenings in UK/EU area. Living across the street from the legendary Blue note club in Hoxton square near Old Street he was hitting some of the first of the METALHEADZ nights, FABRIC, the End, and many other underground events collecting inspiration and ideas to create urban influenced, BASSheavy electro robotik sounds geared towards the dance floor. Through a good friend he later met a couple of guys who were working on a little bedroom label at the time. They asked for some scratching over some of the projects they were working on. This label later became one of the most prominent breakbeat labels in the world now known as Finger lickin records. They released Soul of Man, Finger lickins first release, then soon after Finger lickin vol 1 Dj tool record bothe featuring ILLEKTROLAB scratching.

Djing under the name djl3go for the first part of his career he quickly made a name for himself on the underground rave/club circuit with his fluid scratching and mixing abilities plus playing free parties around various parts of the world passing out loads of demos to the beat junkies. In the year 2000 he was forced to change his name due to the L3GO toy corporation threatening him with a law suit. The decision was then made to activate his alter ego ILLEKTROLAB and spread the robot music to all open ears and minds possible. Since then he has performed on bills with many of the most influential and well known artists in the hip hop, electronic dance and uderground music scene such as Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff, Afrikka Bambatta, Kurtis Blow, Goldy, Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction, Lady Kier of D lite, Dj Craze, Massive Attack, Dynamix, Rabbit in the Moon, Dj Icey, Jackal and Hyde, Rhazel etc....... Fresh new tracks from East London producer Heuristic Audio. Melodic and emotive driving tracks styled in a manner unique to Electro producers define this record.  Four tracks kicking off with "Death of a Star" already coined by Dj's such as Mark Broom.  Heavy break building bass lines culminating in a final peak of colliding melodies and haunting deep vocoder vocals. Strong clean percussion breaks throughout. 
  "Soul Frous" track A.2 follows up with cascading saw wave bass lines dropping down into the bass bins. Staccato rhythms and floating ghostly melodic constructions create a sense of suspense and drama throughout this track. 
  "Wisla" Kicks off with a hard driving breakbeat with fluctuating staccato melody's in the background with a huge bass line filling out the track. Cutting lead synth lines burst into the mix bringing it to a new level of suspense and mystery. this track is fat, break driven Electro with a heavy UK feel to it. Building and breaking down, and rebuilding again into different evolving mutation. A very personal and expressive experience for the listener. 
"Dawn Over the City" track B.2 brings a stunning end to this 4 track EP bound to make a dent in the History of Electro. Full on melodic and counter melodies, in the vain of Boards of Canada but rich in tonalities and variation constantly drinving forward through the mix with clean driving kicks and snare
