Description : Hailing from the catacombs of Paris, Mon cher Guy and Zaratustra are joining forces in this new release ! After throwing multiple parties with their collective Orchessons, and releasing tracks on various labels, they decided to gather in the studio to practice some musical witchcraft.
Blending electronic sonorities with some hints of 80s rock, they made extensive use of electric guitars, vintage drums and old-school synthesizers to create a nostalgic and mesmerizing feel. Despite all tracks being set in a dreamy and a nocturnal atmosphere, with the hurling wolves and vampires of « Night Creatures », or the eerie atmosphere of « Incantations », this EP is about melancholy, from « White Magic » opening the dance, full of hope and cheesiness, to the irrevocable « Nevermore » closing it.
Giving a trancy twist to « White Magic », we’re super pleased to welcome Brandski for the first time on the label, with this club ready remix ! And because we couldn't resist putting our fingers in the mix, label boi Austher also gave his epic italo touch to « Night Creatures » !

Premiere : Zaratustra & Mon Cher Guy - White Magic (ft Serge) (Brandski Remix) [Ulla Records]

It’s time to dance… again! Brazilian rising star Mau Maioli (SXDNS246) and his gang of collaborators – Kauan Marco & ARYELA – bring back their well-received 2021 “Time To Dance” single on Levels Rec but this time featuring a solid team of remixers: Agrabah (SXDNS008 plus SXDNS200/FREEDL016 as part of the duo Caju), Leo Janeiro, and Zombies In Miami, who brought the title track into their respective realms in order to deliver three insightful interpretations of it. Respectively: a funky Nu Disco take, a classy Deep House cut, and a cosmic Indie Dance journey.

With interesting works recently released on spot-on labels such as LoveDogs, U're Guay, Mélopée, Veneno, and Levels Rec itself, Mauricio “Bad Boy” Maioli has been competently carving his name in stone amid the finest acts of the Brazilian good quality electronic music scene. And if you fancy another example of such rising and shining Equatorial talents, here we go: Ágatha Prado aka Agrabah brought her characteristic Funk with shards of Samba sonority to the party and managed to bring to life a beautiful and groovy version with a slappy and naughty bassline and a “se rasga na pista” attitude.

For the Halle based artist Peter Hecht, there seem to be no rules. Not only in the way he names his tracks, also in his production works, Peter doesn’t rely on a repeating formula, while still managing to give each output that special something. With this EP he provides two timeless originals, that blend the gap between disco, breakbeat, electronica, house and many more, topped off by a massive 80s inspired remix of the title track “Nights” by Robert Johnson resident and outstanding producer Chinaski.

To mark the release of all 17 remixes of Plaisir de France's debut album, '#20', the Frenchman serves up some fantastic reworks featuring Damon Jee, Tim Paris, Badknife and Polocorp (among others).
Plaisir de France is well known for his remixes and collaborations with the best of the new French pop scene.
He has worked with everyone from Regina Demina and Bertrand Belin to Arnold Turboust or Barbara Carlotti and his debut album from 2021 featured 27 collaborations that explored everything from club sounds to introspective home listening, dark grooves to happy house.
Now the pleasure of the album is extended with 17 remixes, two of them will be released as single before the album.

The "Magic Fire EP" recipe features all the ingredients to be an underground party roof blower, stomping four-to-the-floor beats, mechanical bass lines, Middle East percussion and melodies, lush FX and an enormous momentum drop to deliver at peak time.

Belgian superhero DC Salas  (Correspondent, Live At Robert Johnson, TAU)completes the release with his take on Magic Fire, turning the
original version into an instant dancefloor-filling late-night banger!

One of Stockholm’s finest exports, Elfenberg, arrive at Bordello with four slices of synthesizer goodness. The duo open with “Forever Alone”. A cruising arpeggiator steers its way through glistening snares, rolling kicks and classic italo vocals. Night falls in the jungle “Conga Coronation”. The treetops bristle with birdsong, thickets of bongos, toms and rain sticks lead a path to dawning melodies. A wonderfully textured percussive piece, the track is intricately carved and demonstrates the diversity and depth of Elfenberg. The disco dipped futurism of “Sphere Of Missing Out” follows. Echoes of “Conga Coronation” rhythms are countered by beaming synth bars and vocoder lyrics with the Swedish pair pushing for the floor. “Cosmic Tribune” is the curtain close. Astral chords, spiralling key shifts and incising drums coalesce in this space inspired finale. A truly stunning debut from this talented partnership.

We’re very happy to welcome on board JackWasFaster for our 12th release at LATIDO.
JackWasFaster, born and based in Madrid, has spent the last few years contributing to the effervescent Spanish scene with releases/remixes on Rotten City, Factor City, Latido or Playground. He has played live/dj sets at Sonar, FIB, Brunch, Mad Cool, Paraiso, Mondo or Razzmatazz. His tracks have been played and supported by many artists that we admire such us Andrew Weatherall, Massimiliano Pagliara, Curses, Terr, Echonomist or Mugwump to name a few.
In this new Ep, The South, Manu Cachero shows some of his main hallmarks. Thrilling synths, intoxicating and unexpected melodies, and a cosmic and synthetic envelope that teleports you to a new dimension.
