Ocean Stream is unusual — it is compiled from experimental tracks and studio improvisation sessions by Microcosmos artists mostly known as chillout producers.
 
The music genres of the compilation range from drone and glitch to experimental, all of them are fused at the ambient flow of sound. The tracks of Ocean Stream form the set of distinctive stories by chillout masters combined into a music stream. Like an ocean current, it flows you through the dark and the light, whirls into dreams, leads through the forest and space landscapes. The crown jewel of the compilation is a previously unreleased track by Noraus.

Sasha Malkovich - Multidimensional Movements In Subspace

From the sounds of the arctic circle to the desert and many other acoustic ecologies found between these points, with this new work sound art Colin Black explores a type of sonic trigonometry which challenges our concepts relating to the angles and distances between the chosen sites. The aim is to create a new geospatial perspective that investigates a re-contextualisation of place and places as not being fixed but rather in constant flux within themselves and with each other that regularly needs to be retriangulated.

The goal of this sonic trigonometry is to transmute the notion of the insulated local ecology, so as to reconceptualise the local as a dynamic integral element that is intimately and ultimately connected to other global environments. This sonic trigonometry will also be combined with deft musical compositions and other sound effects that subtly and gradually throughout reveals human activity encroaching these spaces. This treatment and collision of sound elements aims to brings focus to and amplifiers the Anthropocene framed from within the changing perspectives of the various acoustic ecologies.

"Κita me" (Look at me) is a modern rendition of a folk song from the region of Drama, a city in Northern Greece, called "Look at me my sweet love" which speaks of the era when one left the countryside to fight or go to the city for work, most likely never to return. It is a hymn to true love and the hope of 'next meeting'.

Nova honours the legacy of 2005 Albedo with another outstanding narrative-driven compilation showcasing more intimate yet intriguing fresh sounds. [ Imaginary Friends ] features a melange of styles, different facets of ambient electronica infused with neo-classical moods, acoustic sensibilities, epic melodies and impressionistic textures and tempos for a vibrant and overall warm feel. 

As always emphasis was put on gathering original and tailor-made compositions from a variety of well-known artists on Ultimae and interesting newcomers such as Murya from Iceland, offthesky from the US, to create a musical palette that shares Nova's own eclectic and unconventional vision. "With Imaginary Friends I've wanted to speak about solitude but not seen as alienation, disillusionment or isolationism. Loneliness somehow involves the release of human spirit and the consequent building of a new paradigm. Personal moments, like to plug in a pair of headphones and go for a walk in a park, sitting in a café watching passers by or when writing a poem. Poetry is not a simple form of art, no matter what language is. It requires some skill, a bit of logic, and lots of heart: it's about intensity, like ambient music."

[ Radio Universe ], the fourth album by French composer Charles Farewell aka Asura to be released on Ultimae, presents a renewed vision of the seventies Space Music legacy. 
This musical odyssey sends one drifting and spiralling through deep bass drones and multi-layered synth pads contrasted by the classic downtempo tracks the artist is famously known for. 
A modern echo to the works of Jean-Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis floats all over the ten tracks of this galactic journey which will stand as a warp in music history and certainly a transition in Asura's discography.
