Listening to the wounded nature, listening to oneself, archiving social realities & creating new ones – with the senses awaken by sound.  

radioCona:Storyscape SE  as a radio open for new sound related practices (with the focus on bioacoustics & artistic interventions in field recordings) will try to answer some of the questions about mnemopoetics of the Balkans and South Eastern Europe through the selection of artists from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania. radioCona program is again exploring unknown terrain, which has been intensely research by the curator of FM exhibition Manja Ristić.

radioCona podcast No. 4 – Sound-Space-Memory Fields Part II

Lukatoyboy is a musician, sound artist and educator from Belgrade, currently based in Berlin.

His sound art practice is based on performances dealing with networks, sound and narrative, using walkie talkies and site specific topics.
Focused on the relation of chances and structures, he creates participatory works with suggested rules, questioning exclusivity and authority of an artist.
He is currently researching alternative methods of listening, using found architecture and proposed distance as tools for discovery.

As a musician, he is mostly involved in electroacoustic improvisation (based on real-time sampling of various objects, toys, voices, and field recordings) using feedback and analogue synthesizers. Lukatoyboy also produces nanotechno and free IDM on a Game Boy.

He has performed and/or taught workshops at festivals: CTM, Unsound, TodaysArt, Communikey, Semibreve, Wasted, Moers, UH, Phonart, Uovokids, Netaudio… in countries Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Austria, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Slovenia, Romania, Sweden, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Portugal, Finland.

His collaborations name Sainkho Namtchylak, Svetlana Spajić, Mia Zabelka, Irena Tomažin, Peter Evans, Franz Hautzinger, Eric Thielemans, Jonas Kocher, Laurent Bruttin, Martin Brandlmayr, Johannes Frisch, Georg Wissel, Branko Džinović, Balazs Pandi, and Igor Čubrilović, among others.

Since 2010, edits Blind Tapes, a participatory and chance dedicated tape label.

He was recognized with an award for sound design for the theatre play Bartleby (2011, Mini Teater, Slovenia) at the international theatre festival Borštnikovo Srečanje.

As an educator, he led numerous workshops for kids, dealing with topics of improvisation, sound art and performative narrative in most of the European countries and several states of the USA.

He was an artist in residence at STEIM (Amsterdam), Pedra Sina (Funchal), Semibreve (Braga), Titanik Gallery, (Turku) and Hai Art (Hailuoto).

Lukatoyboy is a recipient of the “Ubiquitous Art and Sound” Open Call for works, awarded by Deutschlandradio Kultur/Klangkunst, Goethe-Institut, ICAS – International Cities for Advanced Sound, ECAS – European Cities for Advanced Sound, and CTM Festival, which sought unusual ideas for pairing the specific artistic possibilities of radio with the potentials of live performance or installation in 2013.

He is a cofounder of a residency/festival MultiMadeira.
