After the huge crossover success of the original back in 2006, the artist formerly known as Joey Negro, Dave Lee has reworked one of the biggest tracks of his career into an original Disco anthem. Keeping the peak time energy up but injecting more Chic-esque Funk than you can shake your rump to, there was only ever one person who could elevate the original into a modern disco classic. Taka Boom’s powerful vocals still soar away but this time it’s over crisp Clav licks, effortless rhythm Guitar, sublime Piano, and sharp Synth work all underpinned by some sultry disco bass guitar action.

Summer tunes come and go like the season. Very few cement themselves to be the soundtrack for cooler climates. 
However, Some ‘O That will be doing the rounds for the foreseeable future and bobbing its sunburnt head in years to come.

The title track is reminiscent of the Fresh Prince classic "Summertime". The laid-back groove kicks in and as you’re expecting Jazzy Jeff to be thrown out of a front door by Uncle Phil.... The Kurnel lands feet first in your lug holes. He glides between rap and vocals in harmony over this smooth Hipstrumental. Consisting of catchy lyrics, good vibes and head nods all in one track. This is the perfect partner for that Pina Colada.

Next up with Too Late, we take the traditional hip hop route, picking up a double bass, keys and horn delays for the ride. Kurnel steps his flow up a gear and proves he’s got all the essentials in the hip hop tool kit. This track ticks all the boxes for any boom bap fan while keeping the party moving.

Diggin’ gives us a more personal look at the Kurnel’s life, giving the MC a chance to give his story telling technique some air time. The bed it’s laid on is nothing short of dope and by now people are realising that Hipsta productions are no joke! Uncle Roast pops along to lend his scratching expertise, seasoning this banger with some additional turntable spice.

Lastly Roast steps in and gives Some ‘O That a lick of paint. Cranking it up a gear, adding synths wobbles and beefier drums giving a different perspective on what was already a dope track. This will suit those looking for a party alternative to that laid-back summer banger.

Conan Liquid doesn’t buy into sub genres; only good music. With a faultless technical ability honed from years of studying his craft – this man wrote a thesis on the technology of mix downs- and his athenaeum sized catalogue of tunes a Conan Liquid set is a grooving journey and rhythmic education (of tracks you didn’t even know you loved) from start to finish.

With over 400 releases to his name and a main room staple on the international Clubbing circuit, taking in almost every continent and major clubbing brand, including an appearance on Top of The Pops for his top 40 track ‘Monster’ (yes seriously), Conan has captivated dance floors with both his solo and Liquid People projects. 
Championed by the best in the business (we said we wouldn’t name drop but seriously take a look at this list): Masters at work, Todd Terry, Pete Tong, DJ Spen, Dave Lee, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Roger S, his extremely impressive discography features on many major labels including MN2s, Tropical Disco, Defected Records, Strictly Rhythm, Sony, Z records, Africanism, Launch, Big Love and Catch 22 and productions for artists including Ashanti, Lighthouse Family, Talking Heads, Todd Terry, Radiohead, Blondie, Imogen Heap and All Saints. 
Conan now resides in Dubai where he runs the boutique label Crates Motel Records.
Due to his incredible technical ability, production and beat programming skills you can expect a faultless set of good quality music, with live re-edits, and live remixing on the fly. Few DJs can say they have remained at the top of a scene for over 30 years, yet this man can.
