Coming right from the heart of Romania, DJ and producer Fictiv captured the electronic music scene since the '00s. Influenced by the past roots, but staying strong in the present, Fictiv has evolved as an artist developing his own signature in styles he has been experimenting with over the years ranging from house to techno, from acid to minimal. Next up on Pheek's Archipel Musique out of Montreal is Hungarian producer Valth, who returns to the label with the Tales From The Bar EP, and follows up some promising releases on Conceptual and Outpunkt. The dreamy and evocative soundscape of "Dreams Of The Broken Piano" is equal parts neo-classical and balearic, while the hazy jazz bar loops of "Hazy Lights" demonstrates he's capable of deep house style mood music as well. "It's Not Rocket Science" takes a darker turn on this moody minimal tech house number, and "Fragmented Harmony" is a glassy eyed and bittersweet epic using some sublime breakbeats.

Cette année, j’ai surtout consolidé ce que j’avais fait jusqu’ici.
J’ai repris tout ce que j’ai appris en traitement du son sur ordinateur pour revenir sur les morceaux créés quand j’étais exclusivement sur synthé.
Là, c’est le second set live que je publie.
L’exercice est un peu délicat : je pars d’un enregistrement en direct, mais la prise était de qualité suffisante pour me laisser une vraie marge de travail.
L’occasion de réécouter, de revivre des émotions anciennes, avec tous les souvenirs qui vont avec… et parfois un peu de doute et de douleur aussi.
Et de les partager.
