His sound could be described as raw futurism-funk and has led the young man to venues such as Fold, Village Underground and Tresor. Yant is a 24 year old DJ, producer and occasional sound engineer whose unique take on minimalistic, futuristic, yet raw and forward-thinking techno has made him one of the most exciting new acts to emerge out of the UK. The Manchester-based maestro melts mesmerizing rhythms with complex atmospheres, creating techno rough enough for the body and complex enough for the mind. His music has been released on Setaoc Mass' SK_Eleven among other labels and can regularly be heard on the dancefloors of clubs such as Fabric, Berghain and Bassiani.

September’s edition is here and on this episode I am extremely grateful to welcome, Bulgarian artist Ruben Ganev onto the show.

Ruben first caught my attention with his incredible self release on his own Mould Audio imprint. Since he has continued to present his sound in a way that’s unique and outstanding to say the least. 

Based on Sofia, Bulgaria where he also hold his “СКИТНИК” events alongside fellow artists from his scene. Speaking with Ruben tonight we find out more about his musical background and how he structures his workflow in the studio. Plus a little insight into the next release on his label which is a LP from the man himself.

He delivers a powerful set to dive deep and get moving.

We are very excited to present the 64th episode featuring a special extended club recording from Terminus, recorded at MUUD movement’s 'The End' at And Club, providing you with a journey into the realm of deep and groovy percussive mayhem! 

TERMINUS is a South African, Johannesburg based DJ/Producer focused on bringing a relentless and highly textured sound, filled with minimal groove focused cuts, harder groove or deep and driving pieces to bring the crowd on an authentic dance floor exploration. Anthony has been a forward thinker in the localised dance music space in South Africa , also co-hosting a collective/event with @claudeaspelling known as MUUD. He’s also had releases this year on CITYBOWLWAXNETWORK as well as INFLUENCED and plans on releasing much more.

In his formative years, the artist responsible for 30drop discovered new synthetic and electronic sounds that would later influence his work. From the year 1996, his activity as a DJ powered his link with music, focused on Detroit Techno and Techno sounds that held the transgressive references of Birmingham, UK. These impressions saw 30drop magnetise toward an industrial, experimental, noise-based sound, particularly in the mid-2000s. After a creative pause, 2014 brought his new project, ‘30drop’, at this time his label 30D Records of which he is the Manager and joint  A&R with Angel Molina, was also born.

WINTI is a spiritual belief which lives under the six ndyuka tribes in Surinam. The dancers prepared their bodies with herbs and are therefore able to dance through the fire. While doing the WINTI DANSI, it is possible for the dancer to go into a trance. The WINTI DANSI is only performed on special occasions. 

This mix is recorded with a closing state of mind. Powerful rhythmic tracks which connects me to my KRAKTI (Powerful) culture. Searching for a bit more edge while keeping consistent rhythms. A bit faster than the other NDYUKA podcasts but never fast for the sake of being fast. 

Just like a WINTI DANSI i love it when people not just hear the music but really feel it. To a point where you could close your eyes and connect with the smallest details without any effort.

✈ We are delighted to welcome portuguese dj and producer NØRBAK.

Nørbak is Artur Moreira, born is the late nineties, in the North of Portugal. His devotion into making music begins early in his life, and since then, keeps working in his studio, day after day, discovering and developing his own sound, diving into Ambient, Experimental and mainly Techno. 

It all started in 2016 with labels such and Circular Limited and Illegal Alien, where he gave his first steps and since then he has been releasing his music on respected labels such as PoleGroup, Warm Up Recordings, Semantica, Modularz, Affin, Float Records and his sound has developed throughout these years focusing now more on the mental and physical side of Techno, where he finds the most comfort. 

In 2019 he joins the Portuguese independent collective and label Hayes as an active member, where with his label colleagues he’s pushing the new wave of contemporary Techno. 

With appearances in some respected clubs like Tresor, Lux Fragil, Gare Porto and Family Club he also feels supported by some of the most respected artists in the scene like Oscar Mulero, Jonas Kopp, Svreca, Dasha Rush and more. His future can only be brighter than what it is right now, with so many boundaries to achieve, discover, learn and cross.
