He has been passionate about groovy electronic music for around 10 years, mastering his good ear and techniques, placing a particular attention to catchy rhythms and punchy percussions.

Old-school techno is one of his main aspirations musically speaking, but also in terms of vibe and ideology.

Some of his recents performances include a one hour set at HÖR, Warehouse Nantes performance, and Anomalie Art Club in Berlin 24h Exhale party.

Lars Huismann joins for DifferentSound Podcast #218.

Born and based Artist Lars Huismann started his journey in 2011. His music draws inspiration from various genres such as techno, house, and jazz, which gives his productions a unique and distinctive signature sound. Lars has released music on several labels, such as Soma, KAOS, Voxnox, and Mutual Rytm. In recent years, Lars has been heavily influenced by the early 2000s techno era, which is evident in his music. His signature sound combines fast tribal rhythm grooves, with sharp synth patterns and a clear Detroit house influence, which is instantly recognizable. The funky and jazzy elements in his productions reflect his background as a jazz drummer, adding a layer of sophistication to his sound. In 2022, Lars hit a new milestone by launching his Trilogy, "Sounds From The Past," on Mutual Rytm. The Trilogy comprises three EPs that offer a sonic journey through the history of early techno. Each EP represents a different sub-genre of early techno, including Dub techno and Latin-influenced tribal music, showcasing Lars' versatility and artistic range.

SPFDJ - HATE Podcast 121

Nu Guinea came together over a love of studio jam sessions. The Berlin based Italians fuse live instrumentals and synthesisers that journey to far corners fo the musical world, from weird disco to exotica, world grooves via ethno rhythms. Their most adventurous work has come in the form of albums on their own NG Records as well as Early Sounds Recordings, one of which found them rewire original Tony Allen drum recordings with their own jazz-funk vibes.

In the mix for us this week they stir up a steamy summer session of boogie bass, township funk and squelchy synth goodness. It’s 90 minutes of storytelling music that speaks of a lifetime of digging deep into local sounds and scenes and stitching them all together with the sort of underlying grooves that transcend boundaries and bring people together under the sun.

Après un panel de podcasts au rythme rapide, c’est aujourd’hui à notre cher ami et artiste Andres Komatsu de nous montrer une autre forme d’intensité. Venant tout juste de sortir son dernier EP « Static Advice » sur le label mexicain NUFF music, il est co-fondateur du récent collectif Slug Rave, dédié aux musiques lentes, dont la première s’est déroulée nulle part ailleurs qu’à la Station (Paris). Andres nous a proposé un podcast à la sélection instinctive, qui mélange Down tempo, slow techno et slow EBM. Une heure de voyage mental et rythmé pour notre plus grand plaisir.

He held residencies in several well reputaded clubs and played every saturday in one of the most important belgian clubs “Lagoa” from 1996 till 2004.

Frank Biazzi is without doubt one of the most qualitative exports of the very rich Belgian techno scene. His name is synonym to Belgian techno by being important part of the greatest achievements of his country's techno industry.
