Ekanta as the name suggests means the practice of solitude and this is what we intend to do through this compilation. Our aim is to build overwhelming rhythms for dance floor nights, dawn endings as well as mesmerising mornings and create a realm of psychedelic fantasy leading you to dance through the magical forests into a parallel world, where imagination meets reality with some of the top notch artists from the psychedelic scenes.

I Will Never Forget

The Theory of Nature was consciously derived from the energetic aspiration to co-create a journey through soundscapes translating folklore and fantasy into a non-conformed sonic adventure through the senses of the truth, whilst keeping traditional Goa Trance as the medium of inspired communication. Crafting the Listening sound not without the mindset of composing existing to preset psychedelic creations, but to bridge reality into the great unknown. Thus this album proposes to enter a new creative paradigm. 

Déja Vu = a feeling of having already experience the present situation.
That physical construct that indicates that ‘we’ve been here before’. The driving and deep bass, constructs a substantial dais for exploration, combined with trippy clicks, hums, and gizmos that are a prelude to the trance-induced eventuality influenced by hypnotic drumming. The expedition is cushioned by triangles, harps, shakers and marimbas in geometrically perfectly-timed intervals, to inspire feelings of unity and an unforeseeable cloud-burst. The main mode is a melody Carly would often sing in her head at parties as she attempted to make more of the bass than that which was offered, moving-up through pitches until a sense of harmony was achieved. 

Theory of Nature was constructed with the intention of bringing calm, peace, rebuilding and healing to over ten-thousand people who suffered great loss in the devastating Knysna Fires, 7th June, 2017, in South Africa. Consisting of an African theme they took the terrifying, fearful aspects of burning fire, dragons, and vicious yet frightened animals, and cradled them with angelic harmony, harps, marimbas and soothing vibrations. The journey is seemingly guided by a shaman woman who commands fear to be gone, and requests the Phoenix to rise once more through climatic anthem , while skipping to a beat that says ‘everything’s going to be alright’. 

DIY was consciously fabricated with the desired hope of giving dancers and listeners alike the opportunity to experience an odyssey through ancient and advanced united, thereby allowing to make steps approaching to the pure data of their true nature, preferences, and the magical world of the fey-folk, the life in other dimensions is not always more beneficial than ours; they, too, come with their own trials and tribulations. Packed with clicks, skips, jiggles and powerful electric guitars, to convey the need of never to fear, as a balance and a warm embrace is here. 

Fair-Ye-Well was forged with wobbles and warm sounds, drumming and documentary-type vocals that hope to inspire just how different formulated music compared with that of natural creative jamming. With electric sounds to shock the uninspired zombie into actually moving their feet to the beat, the sparks and sprites warn of a future that is in propagation with daunting consequences unless some form of traditional culture is conserved. Walking through wind tunnels, meeting African drummers once again, this cheerful piece aims to lighten the hearts of those who feel the darkness is too close for comfort.
