Nolid is a Portland-based DJ, and member of the nonbinary, queer, trans, and POC-centered artist collective UwU. An active part of the crew’s Xray.fm radio show, and one half of Mate Mind with Argonaute, a former left-field electronics radio show on Freeform Portland.

Nolid’s sound is an eclectic journey that traverses many genres. Their intention as a DJ is to bring community closer and create healing moments drawing from sounds that are familiar, yet warped.

For the inaugural set at Club Liminal I wanted to capture some sounds that I think of when I think of othrwrld’s music and djing ethereal, heady, emotional, and euphoric. I have been really into airy and psychedelic sounds lately and I think this mix is a proper opening journey for Club Liminal. Thanks for having me and Thanks for dancing.

You can find Blackmoonchild in one of my (madeofants) earliest mixes that started the whole concept of ARC. She and AK (iykyk) were two of my first favorites in the scene. Absolute power houses in the making I've only been proven more correct by time and their clear trajectory to the stars. Both DJing and producing tracks at a speed that would make any producer wish they had access to whatever magick they conjured.

However just because we're all a bunch of astrological softies doesn't mean this mix is. This is the sound of cement hard capital D-troit. Featuring Acid, electro, hardcore, and our beloved breaks this mix is a cup of coffee to wake up shattered nerves and to move the most jaded soul into dropping low.

Born in San Francisco and raised in New York, @dominique-shaw-344973310 musical journey was initially inspired by the deep bass of hood rap and the powerful vibes of Trap music at a San Francisco party. Her musical exploration deepened amidst NYC's dynamic queer nightlife, where she discovered electronic dance music, house, and techno at iconic venues like Ghetto Gothic and Holy Mountain. Dominique learned DJing from a friend and began her career at Happyfun Hideaway, swiftly transitioning from an open-format style to specializing in Deep House and Techno.

Dominique has made a name for herself by performing at renowned spots such as the Ace Hotel and The Carry Nation. She aims to enrich the deep house scene by producing tracks that are infused with 'main character' energy and the textured beats she adores. For DJ Dominique, dance music and the community it fosters embody every facet of her identity: the rebel, the dreamer, and the artist.
