Concrete Palms formed in 2018 and started playing gigs around the local Brisbane area.
A following started to gain momentum which saw them playing various venues in South east Queensland.
In 2019 the band was asked to play four dates with Aussie rock legends The Screaming Jets and Choir Boys.
These shows although a hectic schedule playing 4 consecutive nights to large audiences set the band up for bigger things.
After a change of line up Concrete Palms came together as a solid unit and have been in the studio continuing to record new music for the past 9 months.
Concrete Palms play a unique blend of 70's inspired Blues rock.
They bring to the stage a high energy rock show that is always well received by their fans.
On Drums you will find Dom, the quiet achiever whose music background was cemented in various Rock bands. Precise drum skill and extremely energetic performance behind the kit sets Dom aside as a solid component of the band and brilliant to watch live. "Animal comes to mind "
Huw Munday on Bass was a Concrete Palms fan and after a successful audition filled the role of bass. This bought skilful bass lines and solos to the band.
Tall in stature Huw gives off that 70s vibe and brings the bass lines to the for front. Alex Kosenko on guitar and up front on vocals is a skilled musician and solo artist with a successful solo career since taking to the stage almost 10 years ago aged 12. Concrete Palms has been an ongoing project with Alex since its inception.
The combination is explosive on stage with a huge sound for a three piece.
Their music is the embodiment of many things. Co-constituted by feelings that originate in the studio and motivate the band to write their discursive and a narrative flow of lyrics with music that through its clever construction gives out those feel good rhythms that they have become known for.
They are a perfect combination of blues and rock and a band well beyond their years. Their Rise Above tour was cancelled due to Covid but the band plan to take their music on the road to the North and areas such as Gympie and Bundaberg where they have gained a following since their first tour.
There is no slowing down for Concrete Palms they are on a mission to spread their music far and wide.
It’s a show you will walk away from telling yourself that you have to catch this band again.
