I am a versatile musician that excels in composing vocal and instrumental work. Along side teaching singing and music theory, I hold the position of Director of Music for Hambledon Productions, creating original scores and sound designs for their various shows that tour the UK.

I enjoy working and collaborating with different musicians, composers and writers and creating new works for the stage and screen, as well as recording piano backing tracks for several West End clients from my home studio in London.

Jamie and Jonathan smith have played in local bands all there life. And Alexander smith (Jamie's son) began playing guitar in a band at school at the age of 14 by the age of 15 when Alex began writing songs, the family got together and began practising twice a week for nearly two years now. Now they have become veterans of the local gigging area, and with over an hour set are now looking to expand. Jamie on drums, Jonathan bass and Alex guitar and vocals.

David Power was born in London in 1962 but spent most of his childhood in York. His initial interest was rock music but the electronic instrumentals on David Bowie's 'Berlin' albums led him to become interested in other types of music and eventually he went to study composition with Richard Steinitz, Steve Ingham and Roger Marsh.

His Three Chamber Pieces was premiered at the 1986 Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and since then his work has been performed throughout the UK and, more recently in Europe and the USA. As well as concert performances, his music has also been used in short film soundtracks and art gallery installations. 

Over the years he has received a number of commissions and had his work broadcast on BBC Radio 3 plus a number of regional stations. In 2009 his Eight Miniatures appeared on the Grimsby St Hughs Festival 2009 Highlights CD. In 2012 his 'Eight Evening Songs' appeared on the acclaimed  the 'Songs Now' CD on the Meridian label

His latest project is Vestiges of Spirituality, a multi-media project with artist Linda Ingham, film-maker Annabel McCourt and composer David Lancaster. Vestiges is designed for installation in churches and is currently undergoing a short, arts council funded tour in the North of England.
