ACT 2: AFTER INCIDENT

The morning was sticky and dull. I was sitting in the kitchen, drinking cold coffee and looking out the window. The world was living its usual life: cars, voices, sirens - everything as usual. Only inside it was empty, as if the sound in me was turned off.

The phone vibrated for the fifth time in a row. 

- Hello, where are you? We agreed, I have everything ready, you just say yes or no, - he chattered.

I was silent.
- Hello?
- I'm sick of everything, Just... everything.
- Are you having this crap again? You seemed fine yesterday.

I dropped the call. Turned off the sound. Closed my eyes.

I still went to work. Automatically. Without thoughts, without a goal. The world was somewhere to the side. Noisy, alive - and completely alien.

I just wanted to disappear. At least for a day.
