For Vol.5 of the remixes of Ross Harper’s acclaimed ’The Dark Album’, Pyrame provides some welcome uplifting relief in his rework of 'Deep Life'. The Berlin resident Thisbe Recordings label founder who takes inspiration from surrealism, fantasy and of course with a name like Thisbe, the Greek Myths, here fully exposes his love of the 80s drum sound with a new wave edge. Building on that strong foundation of rock solid drums is layered in, the most wonderful lifting melodic riff and the combination makes this track feel timeless. Pyrame took an instant liking to the original and after having it on repeat for a several days, the physicist turned cosmic poet transformed the already floaty central sequence into a sensation that is akin to actually walking among the very gods that inspire him.
