Really big fan of his Golden Soul Records labels releases so its a good buzz for us to host our first track from them!

Part of the Sporttello - Straeae EP which will be released soon on Bandcamp and the original track is nice bit of summertime Italo Disco! 

The remix by Azaria slows it down a little with a hypnotic appregiated bassline and the James Rod remix takes it down a slightly darker route!

UK talent Dan Wainwright drops ‘Rituals’, a three track offering of mutant disco sounds on Night Noise Music backed with a remix from Joe Morris, this June. With a catalogue that takes in edits for To Rack and Ruin and Creative Use as well as singles for the likes of Hungarian HotWax and Through God’s Own Eyes, Wainwright is steadily becoming a must-check for those who enjoy lower tempo nightclub sounds of a discoid nature and this EP, already given ALFOS approval by Sean Johnston, shows why.

Opening with the anthemic ‘Raindance’, a growling groover characterised with bright, evolving synth hooks and tight delays which culminates in balearic guitar bliss, Joe Morris’ Dubwise remix of ‘Rain Dance’ closes out the package in, as the title suggests, nifty dubbed out style.

Exclusive: Massimiliano Pagliara - Sunset Funk

With the 7th and last installment of their musical festivities around catalogue number 50, namely Yellow, Uncanny Valley brings together a handfull of prolific producers to deliver the label's most divine and summer-ish various artists compilation. Berlin-Italian Massimiliano Pagliara, for his part Funnovojere label head, ushers summer season with some Sunset Funk, with the tune evoking just what its track title suggests. Sunset Funk starts off with warm-pads and a breakbeat-touched bassline before a funky bass sets in, which is shortly accompanied by catchy synths as wobbling yet reluctant Acid bleeps blaze the trail but always harmonize with the track's lead-synths. With a groove and vibe so utterly hard to resist Massi gives hooked listener a breather initiated by few reiterating chords that are set with vintage alarm-clock sounds and are conducieve to ring in the last part of the Sunset Funk, which highlights the initially introduced elements but puts more emphasize on the Acid-driven sequence as well as on the interaction of filters with the synths. Sunset Funk definitely makes the listener look out for a shady place after being exposed to those sunbeams chords and vibes.

“(…) ALFOS pilot, Sean Johnston, has a ton of music to about to land. The most balearic of which is an E.P. for Le Temps Perdu. Released under the moniker A Mountain Of Rimowa** the record packages 4 originals, plus a remix by the NYC team of Justin Strauss and Max Pask. Each of the tracks bears a recognizable sample, or recreation there of, spanning the genres of soul, post-punk, and house. But these aren’t edits, or even “radical reinterpretations”. More affectionate nods. Since the borrowed bits aren’t core to the tunes. They aren’t the hooks. More an anchor, a leaping-off point. Sometimes only really evident in the intros and outros. Perhaps deliberately acknowledging the past while reaching for, and returning from, the future. No More takes a line from a soulful chart hit and kinda uses its sentiment – of love and understanding, an end to all wars – as its stance. Re-contextualizing these Shoom favourites in a purely electronic setting. Raining down racing arpeggios and anthem-ic piano. The production betraying its author`s love of Italo and synth pop. Joker replays a section of treated post-punk guitar / ambient isolationist dub. Using it to build a buzzing forceful throb around a skipping motorik rhythm, bleeps and a New Order-esque b-line. Brothers And Sisters In The West on the other hand bases its bass riff on that of an instantly recognizable 80s house classic. The new beat / EBM-flavoured Brothers And Sisters In The East is punk funk, whose bottom-end is hulking, muscular, Paul Simonon-like, while its guitars chop and change between tense and nervous Psycho Killer strum, and angular Mick Jones London Calling shapes. The beat like a machined Barkays` break. Pounding, but not pulverizing. Its echoed rimshots eventually escalating into an intense saber rattle.

**A Mountain Of Rimowa is a reference to the life of the “jetset” DJ, and high-end luggage. It is not – as I imagined – some occult Lovecraftian location. Then again, maybe it is.”
